    Mate,

Somebody with a narrow mind demoted me to Newbie, so there is little chance I'll post something interesting.

Never mind the T.R. and content I did before,  if you dont follow the rose tinted love love mentality you're punished.

The place has become worse than Secrets..... But I am not surprised, it was a bit to be expected.

    Cheers, take care !

    Khun D,

if English is not your native tongue, you are going to get some strange posts, but is that OK to give someone the stick then get all upset when he comes back.

NOT where iam from , I will always back the underdog especially if its against some poms and yanks who love to dish it out but get all strange when it comes .

"it" could be anything from throwing personal/country shit or just smartarse comments to get the frog to arch up.

but if the Mods are on their game when they censor his post they are checking other posts also in whatever thread.

I walked the length of Buakhao earlier this morning so too early to see much difference in the bars since yesterday's posts, but the tape across the entry to The Beer Hubb is gone and the chairs and tables at Piss Stop look to have been moved around.  A noticeable increase in girls on the streets both yesterday and today - mostly new arrivals I think.

reckon there would have been some great bargins in Pattaya last few weeks, see on different youtube videos plenty of good looking ladies around the beach and soi Buakhao

    How to Evaluate Coronavirus Risks
    from Black Lives Matter Protests

Large crowds, tear gas and jail cells could contribute to transmission of the virus. But it would not be easy to separate that danger from the risks of states reopening businesses and workplaces

By Tanya Lewis on June 22, 2020

Large crowds gather in New York City to protest the death of George Floyd and police violence. Crowds of any kind could pose a risk of coronavirus transmission, although being outside and wearing masks may help. Credit: Ira L. Black Getty Images

After months of being cooped up at home to prevent the spread of coronavirus, people have taken to the streets by the thousands over the past few weeks to protest against police killings of Black people and decades of systemic racism. The gatherings have some people worried about a spike in coronavirus infections—but they have also been defended by some public health experts, who argue that racial injustice is itself a major public health threat.

The risk of transmitting coronavirus is likely lower outdoors, and many of the protesters have been wearing masks. But some experts note there is still risk—especially given the close interactions between police and protesters, the use of chemicals such as tear gas and pepper spray that irritate the mucous membranes (causing tearing, runny noses and coughing), and the corralling of arrested protesters in crowded vans and jail cells.

There is not much evidence that the protests have caused spikes in coronavirus infections so far. And any increase in cases from the protests would be hard to separate from the fact that states are reopening in general, according to Caroline Buckee, an associate professor of epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Scientific American spoke with Buckee about the risks posed by protesting, the difficulty of tracing infections back to the protests, and how to stay safe while exercising one’s democratic rights.

    EP,

notice today that the NY government has told their tracers NOT to ask if the person being interviewed has been to a protest.WTF.

NY has had 1647 deaths per one million infected persons, the highest in the world, while texas has had 63 deaths per one million

People seem to think ''Tree Town'' is open which my snaps show it isn't..as you say it's just a few people in a confined area of

Soi Buakhao ''BY'' ''Tree Town'' standing about drinking like the early days of this Covid problem when they used to hang about outside ''Mikes Shopping Mall'

on Beach Rd.........Back to ''Suits'' now....lol.....To be honest most night I've been through ''Tree Town'' ( really since it opened) there has been

a few people in most of those ''OPEN'' bars mainly playing pool.and to me to stop all this crowding together of people is to get these ''OPEN''

bar to get back operating will reduce these little cluster of people and spread them  about...Just my thoughts.....

Actually you are not quite correct.

Most of the Bar and GoGo's in Pattaya owe their continued existance to degenerate pussy hounds who are most definitely interested in the price of said pussy. If the price is deemed to be unacceptably high then they will look to pastures new and the Covid19 pandemic will become an overpriced pussy pandemic. 🤣

Okay, back to the topic and to summarise the state of play:

Most of Pattaya's bars remain shut as do all the GoGo's because they hold an entertainment licence and not a licence to sell food.

Sometime in the next month some will reopen as we can only hope by then that the rules will have been relaxed to allow them to do so.

In the highly unlikely event that those that have not aready shut for good all reopen most will remain empty as there are not enough expat piss heads to make any appreciable difference.

Except, most will not reopen as it makes no economic sense to do so until the tourists are able to return (and get home again) without being subjected to objectionable Covid restrictions.

    Is that about right? 🤧

    Khun D,

most expats have a local and if it opens will spend there budget there with a few visits to their favourite rub club.

not down walking street gogo bars.maybe the very odd time once or so a month.

Not so sure they are using their own baht for these great ideas ( lol ) .. could be ( just saying ) BRI money ....

Makes me wonder how they are paying for the new BTS / MRT extensions ( which the construction effort is massive ) and the new ( currently underway ) inter-country railway systems .....

This wuhan virus has zapped a shit load ... and I mean a shit load of money from the government .... and with a GDP that is equivalent to 50% of the worlds average is nothing to write home about ....

how they paying ? simple from CCP under their belt and roads loans.

Indeed, there's currently some amount of anger out there at all this.

Then you also have that barricades have had to put up around the Cenotaph and Churchill's statue to protect them.

    Unbelievable.

they cut shows that show "blackface" but haven't read anything that they have gone after Canadian PM who had "blackface"at a party.when I was in primary school that had us wear black face to sing some songs at the school concert.

bunch of two faced lying hypercritical plicks.do you think they will go after those two black blokes who are playing "white chicks"

I like the RH and it's usually my drink of choice after SML.

Not keen on the original SM stubbies.

quality of pale ale was not always at it's best, never drank from the bottle without first wiping the top with a tissue.

got one in Firehouse one night, lifted it up and the smell of the beer was bad,so I gave it back to the girl, she just rattle around in the bin till she got top and slamed it back on and put the beer back in the fridge, think that was the last beer I had in the place. this was back in the golden age of Ermita early 80s.

fluck Mayor Lim he really stuffed a good thing.
