No different in Cambodia just a little behind Thailand. So where will he go next ?
How about Laos? He may have a problem when Laos catches up as well though.

I am wondering how many people will up the stakes and desinvest in Thailand. This may not be such a smart policy.

Surely the official name of the country is Koninkrijk der Nederlanden?
The full official name in Dutch is Verenigd Koninkrijk der Nederlanden, in English it is the United Kingdom of the Netherlands (and in German das vereinigte Königreich der Niederlanden and in French la Royaume-Uni des Pays-Bas).

Holland v Germany. They often put the two nations flags on their shirts.
Thanks for the info, but the country is called the Netherlands, Holland is just a small part of it. As a comparison, it would be about the same as equating Wales with the whole UK.
And yes, I know Wales is a country where football is concerned.

Nice to see a Dutch national team player front and centre. I am just wondering why he has a German flag next to the Dutch under the lion on his shirt.

Nonsense I said it would fail and be closed by October for the very simple reason as mentioned at the time because of a serious lack of footfall in that particular area. Makes no odds to me whether they succeed or not as a bar
Properly handled it will thrive, Secrets managed to do for a couple of years (until a change in daily management).

I am having trouble with english !
I can teach you Dunglish, however, it is easier if you start with a throat infection. Dunglish is often referred to by Germans as a throat disorder. If you prefer the version however, you need not go have an infection of any kind you just need to get underwater and start screaming.

French, Dutch and Danish 'arguing' about how the English language has been used here, what could possibly go wrong
A Brit and a Yank could get involved 😉 And just for added fun a Thai as well 😉

Then tone it down.
I'd suggest you remember not everybody on this forum is a native speaker of English, so the finer nuances of communication do get lost, especially as there is no body language or tone of voice to add non-verbal communication. Besides that, there are different cultural backgrounds and MrDK's Danish background just comes through quite clearly.

You read the tone wrong
That was your Danish background coming through, Dutch often have the same problem.

Once you've drunk the 30 beers needed to get your bill up to that, you might be struggling to find Soi 14. 😉
It goes a lot quicker with lady drinks. And a next day voucher is so much nicer, a good chance to get the customer in while (relatively) sober with a fresh ATM withdrawal, so a good chance the customer will order a second drink.

There is very little footfall up and down the soi. That I can see being a problem for the new owners. I hope they have a solid marketing strategy.
A voucher for a free beer or soft drink in Scooters at Secrets from their other venues when your bill reaches a certain amount (say THB 2,000.-) ?

In that case, I will have to make a relevant post regarding twits, so enjoy:

Do twits and twats twerk?
Twits might, but "twat" is a verb, not a noun.

I doubt that.
My follow up was going to be that I would come to Londinium and twat him. Fill yer boots.
As I understand it, to correctly twat somebody, you have to be a twit.

I’m still logged on over there but not posting much, there is not much going on. Spending most of my forum time on here now
I also am still logged on over there and also not posting much. However, most of my forum time has always been spent on a Dutch forum (not Thailand but computers related).

Crab Bar maybe? It's at the 2nd Rd. end, on the left as you're walking toward 2nd Rd.
Thanks for the info, never hung around at that end, 20 years ago I was a frequent visitor at Starlight Beer Bar, right opposite Diamond Beach hotel, but that's long gone.

There is no such thing as a good chicken sausage.
A chicken sausage can be very good in the correct place (which happens to be the garbage bin) 😉

I am a bit curious which venue made way for LePub as there is no further indication than Soi Diamond. Will probably drop by the next time I am in Pattaya.
