Just applied online for tourist visa, via London embassy = [email protected]
Added passport bio page, photo, flight info, first hotel confirmation (2 days only) and put address for next hotel, finally document to indicate current location (copy of council tax).
Submitted at 14.30 and received visa at 21.45 same day. all times UK. Certainly a record for me.
I book a hotel with cancellation free policy and cancel once visa is received. My long stay address is a guesthouse but all communication is via Line, not confident a couple of Line messages would be accepted for proof of accommodation.

But the place is dirty unkept it looks like the bar has been stripped of everything just looks like it's out of business who would have guessed it. Opposite Candy Bar on Soi Boukow

Having spent most of my working life in the UK insurance industry i could never imagine the same circumstances happening, protections are in place to protect customer
UK experience: in 2021 I renewed my motorcycle insurance policy. 4 months in I was informed the Company went into administration. It was planned that the policy expiry would remain unchanged but all claims would be handled by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. 2 months later I was informed the policy would cease and I would receive a refund for any complete months outstanding. I believe all companies have to contribute to the FSCS which picks up the pieces for customers.

That is a perfect assessment of the model Secrets had.
Was my all time favourite bar. Lost count of the amount of girls that found their way to my room from there!
Only ever took one girl from there, must have been back in 2010. Great girl, stayed until 2 p.m. LT used to mean long time back then.

Transit through Muscat, Oman on my way to BKK.
The departure lounge had a single toilet also suitable for disabled. A man left and I entered for a pee. After washing my hands I went to the door, the handle was missing, only the spindle showing. Tried to open by hand but unable. Banged on the door and shouted as the plane was boarding by this time. Luckily as a disabled facility the was a pull cord alarm.
Security guy opened the door and I pointed to the door. He asked where is the handle, no idea I said and ran past him to the airbridge.
I still wonder if the previous man stole it or how else did he exit.

Can anyone tell me why EVA flights always take off late from LHR, sometimes more than an hour late? .
Talking specifically about BR68 to BKK
BR67 BKK - LHR for 23/29 December. Usually late in so late out. Seems the flights out of Taipei to BKK are also late.

The treatment of Carlos Sainz is a disgrace. Apparently the rules don't allow for a free pass for the engine change hence a 10 place grid penalty and a repair bill over 1,000,000 GBP.
I reckon the organisers should foot the repair bill but wait, the organisers are Liberty Media in this case, the owners of Formula 1.

I was in a local pattaya bar around 4 a.m. (ssh) and a policeman I recognised came in for a drink. We nodded to acknowledge one another. After a while, I asked the waitress to sent a drink to him on my bin. He came over to thank me and we spoke for a few minutes. Great English and an interesting conversation.
