  1. We drove past the Phu Kradueng National Park, which is a wellknown destination and arrived at Wat Pa Huay Lad, located about 45 km west of Loei.
  2. After our trip to Ubon Ratchathani we fancied the "mountains". So we drove up north to Loei which is not that far from our "family headquater" in Chaiyaphum. On the way we made a short stop at Mor Hin Khao, also called the Stonehenge of Thailand. It is located about 50 km north of Chaiyaphum. Ok, that's all.
  3. Now back in Chaiyaphum. Spent 1 day less than planned. Maybe tomorrow we visit Udon or Loei. Or we go back to Pattaya and think about what to do with all the money we will be winning next week.🤑
  4. The roots are powdered, so it is easier to read the winning lotterie numbers. What they don't know, they are looking at the wrong tree. That is the correct one. Of course I bought all tickets with containig the number 30.
  5. Seems to be still a bit of paint missing on all that concrete stuff.
  6. Not far from there is a new temple under construction: Wat Pa si Mongkhon Rattanaram. Standing a bit out from all the others. Who said they look all the same?
  7. Day 4: returning to Chaiyaphum via Sisaket where we visited Wat Phra That Suphannahong. Received some bird droppings on my shoulder, so my missus encouraged me to by some more lotterie tickets, after having bought some a day earlier, when a snake was crossing the road.
  8. The girl we chatted with was from the Laos side, probably same as the remaining staff. No minimum wages for them.....
  9. Showed my Thai DL at both places. They told me if I have a Thai ID then I would pay the same as Thais.
  10. One for the road: found a Thai pub where we had some Sangsom Coke Get into a fight, pay 10000. Staff works from 6 pm to 1 am for 150 Bt plus tips. Tips are rarely given by the young customers.
  11. Not as good as in Ubon, but a bit cheaper: 5 dishes, 4 large Leo for 1100 Bt.
  12. Time for dinner back near the 2 colored river. There is more action on a graveyard. Lovely dog 😍
  13. Sam phan bok. The best part of the trip. At first I thought it is not much different to lake Maprachan. Have to take a pickup truck for 200 Bt.
  14. The mushrooms are included in the entrance fee. The treck is only 3 km long. Hmm, maybe next time.
  15. I hate stairs....for 400 Bt I was expecting an elevator. The paintings: can you see the fish?
  16. The Pha Team National Park features some cave paintings, estimated to be several thousand years old. Entrance for Thais 20 Bt, car 50 Bt and Farang 400. A bit greedy...... To see all the paintings one has to walk 5 km.
  17. A chinese tour bus? No, just some Thai school kids wanted to be photographed.
  18. Didn't see many tourists in this area. Was a bit disappointed from the sights. Next stop: Wat Tham Khu Ha Sawan
  19. Two color river view point. The Mun river is joining the Mekong. Normally both have a diffeent colour which can be seen especially in April, but I heard that China is throttling the flow of the Mekong which as as consquence has now more clear water.
  20. Day 3: Kaeng Tana National Park Entrance fee for Thais 20 Bt, car 50 Bt and Farang 200 Bt. No wonder that there are no tourists.
  21. Food was excellent. 5 dishes, 3 rice and a tower of Federbräu was 1500 Bt. No back in the hotel and preparing tomorrows trip to the national parks. This is CampariO reporting live from Ubon Ratchathani. 😎
