  1. This is what i can say thus far

This is a local area property tax collected by city hall and on an average property seems to be circa 7-10k per year and less if you can prove the property is empty.

Seems they can go back 11 years for recovery but they seem to be “giving one year discount” and collecting up to 10 years.

The penalty for late payment is 200 baht.

What happens if you don’t pay I don’t know. I would assume they would try to collect the debt using the courts but I don’t know of anyone where it has gone that far yet.

Loads  of my clients have had this letter over the last 2 years. Some have paid, some have ignored and some are waiting to see what happens regards enforcement if not paid.

if you need to extend your property or lost your deed or anything to do with your property where you need a signature from city hall unless the tax is clear that signature won’t be made

Either the Top Rank or Bailey's(same place)....I was in Pattaya then & still on the reserve list for the RAF & on my way back to the UK soon afterwards.

All my mates were trying to wind me up saying I'd be in the Falklands soon.

I said you'll know pretty damn quick if I get called up....cos I'll be back in Pattaya pronto.

    Baileys that’s the one

  3. I was watching Freddy Star at the nightclub in Watford ( forget the name ) the same day we attacked the Falkland Islands.

After his show was a guy playing a classical guitar set very good and the audience was silent until Freddie ran on the stage shouting the Argentinians have just shot down their own plain. The audience just burst into laughter the Spanish guitarist didn’t know what to do .

Another time saw him in a comedy show on ITV my friend knew the producer who was going crazy as Freddie was not sticking to his script but he was hilarious

  4. Go back 22 plus years no 3rd road passed the klang no soi 7 beer bars just green fields  soi 8 just starting  total Wild West . No police check points at night hardly any police visible at night all all.

Back in those days being single I loved it town was open 24/7 so much fun to be had.

Now being married with children with responsibilities and being 55 years old instead of 33 I prefer this pattaya hands down still fun to be had but in a different way.

I've got a nice garden just 6 minutes from Walking Street. It was professionally designed by the same people who did the garden at the Sketch Book Art Cafe in Jomtien. I just move the odd plant six inches every now and then, I've got gardeners who come and do the actual work. I love having the green space to look out on, and in the tropics it's all year-round, no depressing winter grey.

    Do you get any snakes

I have a large back garden with pool that had around 30 trees bushes etc but over the last 3 months I have had to extract around 12 snakes and a few of them quite dangerous

having small children I decided safety first so tore everything up and laid coloured sandwash

leaving me with a bright color  pool area back garden  but 100% safe as no where for the snakes to hide .
