What the nightlife like in Nha Trang ? , I visited once , but that was about 30 years ago
Unfortunately I cannot say. A lot of it for foreigners seems to be about partying at the beach and restaurants. There are bars in the better hotels to visit. For the locals it's probably different but I don't go out at night. There is no bar scene here like Thailand.

I am in my hotel room in Nha Trang. As it is TET they have music every night starting about 6pm and going to about 10pm. They started with a few instrumental numbers. The first sounded a bit like Local Hero by Mark knocker. Then a bit of Hotel California. Unfortunately when they get going it's the usual Asian way. The louder the better.

Pattaya to test automated parking meters on Beach Road
https://www.pattayamail.com/news/pattaya-to-test-automated-parking-meters-on-beach-road-452214
PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City is set to modernize parking management with the introduction of automated parking meters along Beach Road. Following discussions by the Public Order and Security Committee, Deputy Mayor Wuthisak Rermkijakarn announced plans for a trial installation to assess functionality and address fairness concerns.
The trial will cover the stretch from Dusit Thani Pattaya to Central Road and aims to accommodate around 90 vehicles. Initially, meters will be installed on the right side of Beach Road, with decisions for the left side pending further evaluation.
Deputy Mayor Wuthisak said, “The move towards automation is aimed at streamlining parking operations and reducing the need for manual fee collection. Data collected during the trial will inform future decisions on expanding the system across Pattaya. The initiative reflects Pattaya’s commitment to modernizing infrastructure and enhancing convenience for residents and tourists navigating the city’s busy streets.”
This would be a good idea if they actually employed some parking officers to go along and hand out fines for the overstayers. However as they rarely fine anybody who park illegally around Pattaya probably just a waste of time and money.

Yup. I'm walking the beach daily, but missing the southern end due to the works going on. Tend to cut up through 13/3 to 2nd, then up to buckhou for a smoothie from a favourite stall at the market before home to crash.
I had heard a rumour that they hadn't started the bit opposite Mike's as they didn't know what do do with the raised bit, which was created as the late Elvis once launched his Finn sailing dinghy from there.... however, the way they have put piles of new slabs there seems to say they're about to start...
I wonder if it'll be complete when I return in October, as I doubt it'll be finished when I leave in late March.
Used to do similar 2 trips back. Baht bus from Tai to Klang. Then back and forth along the finished bit. Then bus back. Sometimes go over to Jomtein for a change.

Went for my first walk along beach road this trip. The paving of the beach pathway is ridiculous. From the north it is finally paved to Soi 10. Then it goes back to the old paving to Soi 12. Then new paving to Soi 13/1. Then ready to pave until past Royal Garden. Then old paving again. Why did they jump a bit

Just reading the latest one now. Very good so far.

Just finished this one from a very prolific author. The half about the policing was good. The half about his personal life wasn't.

Yes, when it's convenient to do so. Also thongs/flip-flops/sandals, take your pick.

I'm sorry for your loss.

This place. The Blue Sea is where I drink in the afternoon. At night they replace the tables and chairs with bean bags for the chill crowd.
