Nope. I say their claims of "we have it under control, we have very low number of cases" is pure B.S.

If they dont do massive testing, they have no clue how many cases are walking around.

See what I posted this morning about Indo's "Green regions" ...same B.S.

Concerning "bad flu", well for around 95% of positive cases nothing happens. Already explained 20 times here.

I reckon there are very few cases worse than a bit of a cough.

The only places I know in Thailand where tests are actually done in numbers are for hospital in-patients.
If there were higher numbers surely there would be more deaths just by the law of averages compared to other countries ?

Which it is for the vast majority, a very bad flu but it passes.

In February doctors in some regions in Italy started to be puzzled by the abnormal high numbers of bad flu and pneumonia cases, till they slowly made the connection with Wuhan.

So are you saying Thailand are doing the right thing by not testing as it is only a bad flu for the majority of cases ?

Thailand is not doing any "mass testing" so of course they dont find positive cases.

The only one we hear about are people who fell ill, went to the hospital and got checked.

Again, let them do 500k or 1 million testing per week and you'll see what is the real situation.

If every country had dealt with it like this the world wouldn’t be in the mess it’s in.
Talking to friends and family who have been tested positive in the UK all said pretty much the same thing, if they weren’t aware of the ‘pandemic’ they would have put it down to ‘a bit of a cold or a flu’.

I have already ... signed up for years ... I am certain it is a problem with you tube ..

Why do you think it is YouTube ?

Does YouTube do the same on other devices for you ?

I have considered it as i'm a regular user and the adverts are so annoying during a song, they take away the moment for me.

I’m sure you can sign up for a free trial and see if you think the improvements are worth the cost.

    I oppose entering their game.

Of course they bombard me, hassle me with shit ads, I just close my eyes, and 5 seconds pass quickly.

If everybody gives in, they win, and next step they will double the monthly subscription.... and as everybody will be hooked, guess what is the next step ?

It’s a couple of dollars, not something I can be concerned about for what I consider is a good service. They can do what the f**k they like with my data as long as they don’t steal any money from me or impact my life in any meaningful way.

Market forces, if they get too expensive another service will soon be along to fill the space.

Yea Bro ... I don't mind paying a negligible fee either  .... I totally know it takes some serious money to run all the servers they have .... but, they are making a shit load of money as well .. the least I expect is them providing a good music stream .. which I know for sure I am NOT getting ...seems to me 50/50 ... and it pisses the f**k out of me when the left speaker has no sound ... and I know for sure it is not my equipment ...

I play a lot of YouTube music through a decent amp and speakers optically linked to the TV.
I’ve never noticed any channel drop out on the free or paid version.

If you play YouTube on your phone with headphones on does the same happen ?

Bingo imo, i'm fed up with their adverts, they even show/play their adverts during the middle of a song WTF !!!

I pay for the Premium YouTube, it’s only about 99 or 129 baht per month and seems more content, especially Music and no adverts.

Other devices .. I don't have or use

Yea, the videos all are crystal clear , other web sites work great ...

This is the weird part .. a lot of other news , music that I play on you tube ... both speakers work great ... but, it seems to me also a lot of the videos only come through with only 1 channel ....

I have checked the wiring a shit load of times because it drives me crazy ..... nothing wrong ...

I am certain it has to be you tube ... which sucks

Have you tried a bit of WD40 on it, fixes most things 😎

I have a super good speaker system connected to my PC ... it seems like all the speaker connections are good ... but, the left speaker I have just comes off and on when I use with you tube listening to music .. It makes me a little crazy .....

Does you tube do this on purpose ?

Does YouTube do the same on other stereo devices you own ?

Do other music formats play ok on your computer ie MP3 ?

Do other music websites accessed through your browser play ok ?

The answers to those 3 should at least localise the problem 😎

  11. They do work at extending the range of the Wi-Fi, they just receive the signal and then repeat it out again.
I had 2 (upstairs and outside) but found the connection to them was slower than if connected to main router.
They are ok but I was advised of a better solution, installed a Ubiquti AP ( Access point) to the router, really powerful signal, reaches everywhere on the property at high speed. Works much better for us.

I don't use a VPN to view Netflix logging in from Thailand to the UK version or have i missed your point ?

    Kinda,
You can log into a UK Netflix account from Thailand but the content you see is Netflix Thailand, if you log in from Thailand but use a VPN you can access Netflix UK content which has more UK orientated programs.
There is still loads to watch on the Thai version, I very rarely use the UK one.

It surprised me that you got buffering on Netflix with 100mbps fibre. Here in AC I only have 25mbps fibre but dont get buffering.

I would be surprised if you can be registered on 2 accounts simultaneously. The UK one probably has better program choices anyway

It doesn’t matter where the account is from, it only depends on where you log in from or where you set your VPN to.

The best documentary I saw on the subject. Abit long (90 min) but worth every minute of it.

The consequences, change of societal behavior, impact on our daily lives and brains caused by social media. Also of course the commercial aspect.

Very recent, hence up to date with the last events (Covid, BLM, etc...)

Available on Netflix and on Showboxmovies

I did a search on how well UPS systems are for surge protection. Turns out dedicated surge protectors are much better than the run of the mill UPS for surge protection. Like you I have all my computers and electronic gear plugged into various UPS's scattered around the house. Never had a surge blow out any of my gear that was plugged into a UPS, but now I'm wondering if that was just luck. Are your UPS systems plugged into surge protectors?

Surge protectors should be an integral part of a good UPS, both over and under voltage and over current.

  16. There is loads of English content on the Thai Netflix or you can use a VPN to access the British or USA Netflix.
If any of your son’s already have accounts you get 5 logins for families per account so they could add you.
Most relatively modern smart TVs have Netflix apps on them which is the best way to watch for me.

My vinyl collection has been in the garage for yonks and most are probably warped and unplayable. My turntable is there also. Damn shame really as I'm still of the opinion that a good clean piece of vinyl played through a half decent hi-fi set up will sound a lot better than any CD.

Vinyl sounds so much better for older records, I miss the hiss and crackle from some old LPs that are gone from the CDs.
A good quality vinyl LP played on a good deck deck sounds much nicer than a digital recording as nothing is chopped into bits.

  18. Had a good few hundred LPs stored at my Mum’s house, never found them when clearing out her house after she passed away, we reckon she gave them away to some ‘charity’ folk that came knocking at her door. There was loads of our family stuff missing, she suffered from severe dementia at the end and we think some real low life’s had made repeat visits to clear her out.

you spread in very thin like a boarding house spread of butter.it was/is given to most aussie babies on bread.

love it with a strong cheese on a fresh bread.

    regards

Also lovely if you swap the cheese for poached eggs 👍
