Got one a few years ago saying that there were 2 Nigerian astronauts stranded on the International Space Station for over 1 year. The Nigerian space agency didn’t have enough money to pay for fuel to get them home. If you send the a few hundred dollars towards the fuel you will receive a percentage of their back dated wages worth millions of dollars. 

That one certainly tickled me.

I think ‘extension ‘ is the key word here. To get an extension you must have had a visa previously therefore already been in Thailand ?

Absolutely stuffed, nice Xmas dinner in Finnegans in Ban Chang. Kids decamped to their rooms.  Nice glass of red on the balcony with some mellow tunes. 

Just tidying up my desk ready for leaving sunny Iraq tomorrow, be home in Ban Chang on Tuesday morning for my month of chilling out. Nice one this year as I get both Xmas and NY at home 😎

Sat in a ‘holding ‘ camp in Iraq. Government screwed up my paperwork so not allowed into the oil concessions. Been sitting here for 1 week, luckily on full pay 😎

We pay about 400 baht/month and can have up to 5 people using at the same time, it’s a brilliant deal. 

Managed four bottles of Port between 8 of us last night and a lot of very nice cheeses, no recollection of getting home. 

Coffee and water all the way this morning 

Last few trips we stayed at Klong Prau Resort, next bay to White Sands, a bit quieter but the beach was great for the kids. 

Not been for about 4 years, might take a drive down this time home actually if the weather is ok. 

36 hours till I escape the sand pit for another month.

Not a movie but just on the 3rd episode of The Deuce, good gritty series set in New York in the 70’s.

I preferred Base over VT6, just thought it was a horrible building inside, rooms were a bit bigger in VT6 though but we only really sleep there when just up for 1 night.

Aye, signs up everywhere, this was January. Not as many signs as people coming and going using Airbnb though

Had a quick look last night but couldn't find a way of getting a map view of available properties. Individual properties on a  map yes but not what I wanted. I shall have another look later. 

I used them at weekend for a condo in Pattaya. Had to fill in a TM30 at the security gate with the agent before getting in. Big signs all over the condo saying 1 day renting and Airbnb were illegal.
