I guess you did not read the requirements.....Thats 17,000 dollars in your bank for 6 months plus the loooong list of previous requirements.....This is for a 2 month tourist visa....If this is per person you would need 2 million baht to bring a family of 4 to Thailand on a Tourist visas....

Cant wait to see what they are cooking up for the 30 day.....

Considering Canada wanted to se 300,000 baht in my nieces account ,plus a sponsorship letter from me for a Toruist visa for her to come here,I’d say.....touché.

Guess they are finally sick of the broke blokes going and not being able to support themselves.

Owner of Runway is refitting Friendly Bar and hopes to open mid-December with the new name, Paparazzi Bar. He's also going to give livestreaming a try in the new bar.

I spent quite a bit of time in Runway last Jan/Feb and met both of the blokes that run it.

it was perfect,y situated for me,on my walk from the golf club,to Page 10.

They are doing an excellent job there, and I have no doubt they will limp through this tough time and come out the other end,not unscathed, but certainly in decent shape.

They have a few real cagey veterans working there, who are fun to drink with and most importantly, the bar is always very clean and in good shape.

They are the standout on Soi Honey, and that little Soi is /was slowly transforming into a great place to stop and have a few.

With most of my old watering holes, either gone or sold,I will certainly be spending more time there.

Harry Brown from PA,and I were there almost everyday,to start our evening.

    They will be fine.

It's still a long way from being any good,in that the guy who is VAR is one of the muppets usually running around with a whistle.

Bad decisions by VAR sent my team down last season.

I don't have any problem with ensuring the ref's decisions need to be accurate, its the interpretation of what is a rule breaker or not. An arm, a leg, a hand...........f****** nonsense imo.

They have some bugs to figure out,but in the long run, will be nice to actually have a true ruling. This instance was ridiculous, but others ,like f**k heads dropping to the ground like theyve been shot,in the penalty box will be good to get rid of.

Also, hand balls and offsides that they do get wrong.

as for Coxys team going down over a decision or two....they had plenty of games to make that up.

Im a Newcastle fan.I realize how tough it is.

Its getting ridiculous Gally, why oh why is it not your torso that has to be offside not an arm, hand or foot ? they're making a nonsense of the beautiful game imo, goals are the lifeblood of the game and they're doing their best to prevent them.

It’s only one generation mate, that will not even realize that they never had VAR.

Fact of the game now,and it’s best to be accurate.

Too many games decided by referees in the past.

    Thx for the tip!

I bought a nice wee Bordeaux from the wine shop last week.

It costs about 850 baht a bottle which is at the higher range of the price im prepared to pay for my wine.

I meant to save it for my BD today but curiosity got the better of me so I had a drop earlier this week and it reminded me of our trip to France this year... pure bliss.

Today I drove down to Siam Expat foods for some steaks for the missus and me, which went very well with the rest of the bottle if I say so myself. She had the 1 glass and birthday boy the rest lol.

This one gets a 7,5 out of 10 from me.

Pattaya will become a more significant part of the expanding  Chinese Riviera...

Hainan Island; Da Nang, Nha Trang & Phu Quoc Island VN; Sihanoukville Cambodia; Pattaya/Rayong & Phuket TH; Penang MY; Singapore, etc.

Belt & Road, Sand & Surf...

That's why the Thais are bending over to let the Chinese tourists back in first. They're young, Covid-free & have cash in hand. They're sending a loud message.

Just a function of proximity, demographics and the new world order. It's been underway for awhile ...Covid has just accelerated the transition.

And add to that, the difficulty now,for people that are at the age when I first started going.

I know that middle 20 something Canadians can’t afford to do what we did in the mid 90’s.

We are still the young ones playing golf over there.Weve never been replaced by younger dudes.

When I landed in Pattaya, there were oodles of younger guys, playing golf, doing island trips, barfining tons of girls.

    They can’t afford it now.
i imagine its the same in the UK and of course the US.

Just finished watching this. Thought it was well done. A tragedy that could have been avoided if upper management had listened to the warnings of the engineers. I couldn't believe how arrogant and unrepentant the two managers most responsible for the tragedy, Lucas (Director of Marshall Space Flight Center) and Mulloy (manager of the solid rocket booster program) came across during interviews with them for this series. I hope there is a special place in hell for them as they are directly responsible for the unnecessary deaths of seven brilliant, and skilled people.

Challenger: The Final Flight Netflix's Four-Part Series Will Premiere September 16

Watched it last night too. Those two blokes were bloody arrogant weren’t they.

also interesting to see the contrast to the politicians now,and then.
