Of course Bojo shouting from the roof, and ragpapers titles like that are not gonna help the situation nor the perception by other countries ....
I think most will see the click bait. But unfortunately sells newspapers. All of Europe will have this new strain as will Asia eventually. Isolation measures wont make the virus go away.

Probably the most volatile period for a long time. Baht's strength and Sterling hinging on Brexit, doesn't look good for many expats on a fixed income.
Clarifies making assumptions with long term budgeting for retirement, is a recipe for disaster.

Studying YouTube how to remove radiators.

Moving into a virtual world where people don't leave the house all day. Living in a world through their PC. Wonder what people would have done before the internet?
Crime may have increased..Devil makes work and all that.

Swopping funds around with Hargreaves. Informed choices, ultimately end up as a lucky dip.

Not eaten since a kid when I hated them. But will try again after inspiration from this thread. Probably the way way my mum used to cook them.

Keeping in touch with friends makes a difference. But living on my own, found being busy with stuff around the house helps and have accepted any IT type of contracts given my age is unlikely.
My aim, was to travel and visit friends around the world. Not going to happen at least in the short term. One thing is I am comfortable on my own and pretty much do enjoy my own company. I think a sort of self discipline is essential to survive in most scenarios.

Some sports I know little about but were on TV while I was doing something else, have sparked some interest. Volleyball and handball.

Yes. With Diabetes a no brainer. I still want to travel in the future so the risks factor moves up a notch.

UK wise not sure. My sister's where I usually go, will be full of kids. With Diabetes2 not sure a wise move. Sister said I should go as only one day....I explained that was a reason for not going. Exposing yourself for the sake of one day.

Honey fungus loves hedges and cannot be treated.
Yea lost a plum tree didn't find out until I removed the tree. Apparently quite common.

Insects at a guess. In the UK box spider causes these issues in box hedges. Other cause could be a fungus but the whole plant would be affected.

Wonder if most of the investment is by Chinese looking long term, or just putting their money outside China.

Not only that. It will need that plenty other countries where the tourists come from also let people travel, and let them come back after their holiday without quarantining them.
Same here. Bali governor pushes to open in December, but even if he succeeded (unlikely, only the central government has the authority) he still has no "customers" . Australia is locked up, most European countries as well,...
Thai population especially those not involved in the tourist industry, back the border closures. Government shit scared that any relaxation could trigger mass infections. Vaccine really looking like the only lifeline.

Any vaccine will carry unknown possible issues down the line, but do we have any choice? Lockdowns are destroying the economy plus mental health issues.
No golden bullet solution exists or will. Hobsons choice.

A year or so guessing this will take a bit to clear and allay fears over letting foreigners back in from the west.. Whilst we will learn more, the changing nature of the virus and how highly contagious it is, could be two years.😐
