I was down there yesterday morning about 8:00am and couldn't see any damage or signs of repair between Klang and the north end.

First time for a while along Soi Phettrakul this morning and noticed this new building going up across from Smile Land.  Banana Karaoke coming soon according to the poster.

I walked up Honey from Second Road to Buakhao this afternoon.  Very quiet in general with the bars being closed and didn't see anyone going the wrong way until the last 20 or 30 yards when I saw a delivery driver being waved through by the Special cop stationed at the end of the road.  Must have been because he was only going about 4 or 5 shops down.

Me too.

The vehicle loading on the food and drink damaged the door of our Emirates flight at Glasgow airport.  Overnight in an hotel as a spare part got flown in on the next days flight.  I didn't think I was entitled to compensation under EU law as I thought it would be deemed an "extraordinary circumstance".

However about 5 years later I heard of someone being awarded compensation for a similar occurrence so tried my luck even though I was just outwith the time period permitted, and without any fuss, Emirates gave me 600 Euro equivalent.

Another loooong trip mostly with Emirates was UK to Wangerei, New Zealand but the ~10 days I stopped in Thailand on the way probably makes this 12 day journey admissible for this thread.

Usual place in Sri Racha on Sunday evening.

Emirates B777s won't be going away.  They already had plans to retrofit over 50 of them and they increased that number to 81 this week.  Retrofit is to include new seats, including Premium Economy, and new entertainment systems.

The flight will leave EDI at 20:40 so the only decent connection to BKK will be onto EK372 with an 85 minute transit.  A bit too tight for my liking.

On the return it's similar with a flight departing BKK at 09:30 giving a 95 minute transit arriving in EDI at 19:05.

Never had this before.  From zero to hero in one move.

When they introduced it in Jomtien recently it was policed and enforced for a few days but now it's a free for all again I understand.

I used to countersign passport photos in the UK for work colleagues and once I think the passport office called me with a couple of questions out of maybe 15 to 20 times doing it.
