Only 39 days now.... hoping Emirates arrive early in Dubai so I can get more than 1.5 hours in transit, need to buy a few things.
I don't know how much (if any) time it'll save, but you can pre-order on line for pick up at the airport.

Waiting in for a new freezer to be delivered. Old one packed in at the weekend. Hopefully it's not too long as I fancy a pint.

You get at least 5 and the dried fruits and nuts ..so it’s pretty much the same ....
Ah, the good old days. Cutbacks have reduced that recently. First pic is from a couple of years ago, second from earlier this year.

Nursing a sore head with a few stitches in a cut above my eye, got hit by a sack barrow yesterday and ended up in hospital. Long story but industrial accident.....
I did this one a few years ago at work. The paperwork, investigation and do-gooders getting involved was crazy. Fortunately I went on to night shift and avoided most of the aftermath.

Clapped out 2002 ford fiesta. Purchased for £200 6 months ago, still rattling along. Doesn't have to do many miles, fortunately! If something breaks on it, it goes to the car park in the sky...
Similar policy here and currently got a Fiesta Ghia 1.6 from 2006. Buy from ebay and throw it away if it stops going, although this one has kept me going for 3 years already. I only do around 3,000 miles a year so no justification for anything more.

I am glad so many posters are naming Emirates, I have chosen it for the first time for my trip in November because they now fly from Stansted for the first leg to the Middle East. This is only eight miles from home as opposed to the 40 plus miles to Heathrow.
If you're up front, Emirates are using their newest planes on this route with the new suites.

Etihad have dine on demand too, as do Emirates but only in first. Rumoured to be coming to Business Class soon.
I'm usually with Emirates and willing to pay a bit more and travel a bit further to the airport to stick with them for now. I like the price of the Gulf Air flights in Business Class though, but the drawback for me is having to connect at Heathrow.

Some of the photos were deleted by the poster.
That would explain it, thanks.

Is anyone else having trouble with some of the pics in this thread?
On posts 30, 35 and 49 I'm not seeing any, then on post 50 only some are showing.
