While we did make some screw ups earlier on,

Jeez ... what government didn't screw up in the early stages .... normal, I think .. but, there are certain government people that still care ....

  2. I grew up playing basketball in Rucker Park in Harlem ... this one was one tough game ... all I can say is great !

These are big strong guys running up and down the  court ... with passion ..

I love basketball but I have been turned off lately with the Black Lives being painted on the court ... All Lives matter .. not trying to be political ...

Allen Iverson was great ,, so was Bird ( he could put a dagger in you heart ) ... I really  love that game ...

All I do now is play with barefoot Monks at the local temple .. but, they do have a pretty good ball court though

Can't remember the precise year, but around 8 years ago I saw Styx, who were backing up Boston, at Red Rocks, Colorado. Brilliant concert, Styx were awesome and what a venue for a concert. Outstanding.

I grew up where the Jazz and Blues clubs in NY were just fantastic .... that is one thing I miss about my life now ...

A couple of months ago i'd of agreed with you, but it getting smaller all the time, with every positive sets of data re vaccines.

Watched a news clip of Israel earlier, life getting back to normal, great real time data on the success of the vaccines

If anything, restrictions might even be eased earlier than that, that's from the scientists, Government trying to keep a lid on expectations.

Yea, this doesn't surprise me .... What did Ralph Emanuel say ?   .. Don't let a crisis go to waste ?

China's vaccination programme has stalled for several reasons, unless they start jabbing a lot more people there won't be any mass-tourism coming to save Thailand's bacon from there...

This week's Economist has a good article explaining the situation, I've attached it as a two-page PDF file.

    EconomistUS - 20 Feb-pages-35-36.pdf 1.56 MB · 6 downloads

A lot of truth in that statement .... it still surprises me they will let Chinese ( a couple of articles I have read ) to come and restrict other countries of the world ....

My pit bull lab mix had a cancerous hematoma as well as arthritis in his hips. He was not quite 12 years old when the vet administered the solution that put him to sleep. I held him as he laid on the table and when the the doc leaned up with her stethoscope after his heart quit beating, she said, "He's gone."

She gave me a few minutes alone and only when my dad passed last year, have I cried that much since. The unconditional love that a pet gives to us can't be measured. A dog, to me, is truly man's best friend. Burt was mine. Still miss him to this day and never got another dog.

My heart goes out to you tko, and to you as well, Code.

So right Bro ... and the love you give it also .. 100% unconditional ... she was a great dog .. she was so kind to everyone ... but, she wouldn't take shit from any other dog ....

That is why I always knew Ziggy was safe ... I would let Ziggy walk anywhere ( you never know when shit will come ) and know she was being looked out for ... I cannot tell you how many times I would check in on Ziggy in the middle of the night and see her sleeping and the dog was right there .... both of them sleeping .... it would always put a smile on my face ....

She always made sure Ziggy was safe ... and Beach gal ...

Where I live in the deep South it is really safe .. but, sometimes you get some lurking guys walking down the sea ... some would occasionally just end up on your back door ... I am a pretty easy guy ( believe it or not ) ... just don't cause a problem ... but, you can never trust ....

If only that was the case, had people took some personal responsibility in regards to this, it no way would have been as bad.

But there are too many selfish cunts who only think of themselves.

I don't think you can blame it all on people not taking personal responsibility ... a virus is unpredictable ... especially when you can get it and have no visible health affects ...

I still believe that a very high percentage of people are good ... no one ( in my mind ) wants to pass on a deadly virus to another

Maybe I am being stupid thinking that ... but, I still have faith in my fellow man ...

I mean .. really do people go to the hospital for every cough , sneeze or a runny nose .. NO .. they just think everything will go away ... no big deal ... I certainly don't run to a Doctor for every cough , sneeze or runny nose  ... the last thing in the world I want to do to another is pass some bullshit onto a another person

I made my hands bleed digging a grave in the garden crying my eyes out the whole time. Facing my family when they returned was at the time the worst day of my life.

    Butch was a TV star.

    😄

To "bleed" for someone you love  ... I would have done exactly the same ....

    That is interesting.

My mate Sweatie told me last night that he just went to do his 90 day in Jomtien and they have added a couple of minor requirements. I actually wasn't initially listening too closely as he has a habit of causing himself additional work at Immigration but it seemed he had to just obtain a couple of photocopies from his passport which they have never asked me for before.

He started off so dramatically with the words "I had a problem with my 90 day" that I feared the worse.

I hope the online service being down is only temporary because I will be "up country" when mine falls due next month.

I am not trying to "bark" at you .. but, for me .. I just have a guy that takes care of me for the last 25 some odd years or so here .. I have seldom been to the immigration department here .. maybe 1 time

Never do I worry about staying legal here ... he just comes to me and takes care .... you can trust him

If you want I can give you a number to call ...

The whole thing is a big hassle ... getting into a taki to chatu to jack .. that is a mess .. .. a gigantic hassle dealing with the traffic there  .. at least 2 hours ...just getting there ... plus, I never drive in BKK ..

You and me both Joe. Dad had a big downturn today and actually signed the assisted ****** forms. Just doesn’t want to fight anymore, feels like he lost his dignity. His new wife is in horrible shape too, his only wish is to see her in person again, but even with me helping don’t know if we can get her from the condo to the car.

But I’m relieved in a way, thought he had 2+ months left, but that long would have involved some really challenging times......it’s for the best

    F—k 2021, ain’t any better than it’s predecessor

Bro .. fight for your Dad ... give him the strength ..  your a good man .. he gave your strength and courage to walk through live in a good way ..... get them both together .. for sure ... put her on your back .. to get her to him ... that will put a smile on his face .... important !

Trump ....  my cat is even feeling sad .. they both slept together every night . he knows something is wrong ... a cat and a dog sleeping together LOL ... it just reaffirms every thing I believe in  .... shows me everything is possible ...

2021 -- just bring it on and do the best you can ....

Code although I agree with you on a lot of things you really didn't see any of this up close and personal or the state of it all you couldn't in Thailand.

I've been up and down with my thoughts on it but not now.

My Mrs had it I didn't get it or my kids , but that shit spread like wildfire.

I completely changed any doubts I had in January I had customers through work all on the same street (actually a close which is smaller than a street) I hadn't seen since the end of November.

I went back in January and from 3 separate households of customers 3 people had died from Covid (all fine the last time I'd seen them) one more was in hospital on ICU and one couple had caught Covid at the end November and were still in and out of hospital with it mid January I saw how they were struggling for breathe and couldn't walk properly they are both only in their 50s.

I'm fine , not worried and miss the gym but having seen it now 100% understand...

Roll on June and hopefully better times.

Bro .. sorry .. yea, I haven't heard of anyone getting the china virus here .. or seen .. or know the consequences ..

I hate the fact that innocent people are dying .. believe me .. I have a lot of softness in my heart ...

You know why they were closed, you're not stupid, Code!

You're entitled to your opinion, albeit based probably on your experiences in, and what you see around you in Thailand, but read the replies above, that's the reality of Covid in the UK.

It sounds bad ... hard for me to believe ... gyms, restaurants ... everything ....

A couple of weeks ago Beach gal and I were in Hua Hin ... we had to go because we have a house there we are renting .. went Makro ... they were giving you plastic gloves to put on before you went in the place ... I thought to myself WTF is next a space suit ...

I just hate the fact about the government issuing orders ... we all know right from wrong ..

Blimey I remember it when it was USSR, I went on business in 1985, did Moscow and Leningrad (St Petersburg), absolutely amazing country. Stunning women who did anything to get a piece of me and my mate.

Yea Bro .. the women there are beautiful .. plus, they are "stand up " .... they will fight for you if they care ... a lot like a Thai gal that really cares .. even though you may f**k up here and there

I lived there for almost a year ( Moscow ) .. I thought it was great .. banging code ... everyone was cool with me ..

I'm sure I read somewhere that Hancock had said this morning that he knew nothing about this....

I'd love to see it happening, as its entertainment for a couple of hours if nothing else. However, would it also mean opening the UK up for mass incoming "tourism ", and the risks involved with that? After all, just where did the Kent variant come from?

How many other variants .. I read now a new variant from Africa ..

Sorry , , but I think a new government "ploy" to suppress .. get total control ...

Santorini is on the to do list. We would've already, but looked too hilly with a young child and buggy. Different now she'#s older.

Always wanted to go to Russia.

Think is, some have lost their jobs, but others have loads of money hanging about as there's been f**k all to spend it on this past year due to covid lockdowns, so when it does open up, there will be loads of demand.

    Easy compared to Corsica .....

Just keep on doing what you are doing ,, everything will work out

A lot of rumblings in the UK papers about travel in the Summer due to the success of the vaccine roll out.

Can see EU travel, but sadly not rest of the world, yet ...

I am not so sure . Thailand has rejected the china virus passport ... sticker in your passport saying you are vaccinated

But Code, you have people on here who have been on Intensive Care, on ventilators, near death, people who have posted about losing friends and relatives to this disease!

To you living in somewhere where there is next to no Covid, nothing much changed that much, it might seem like bullshit, but i assure you it's very real to many.

No heat Code, i don't take this forum too seriously ...

Bro .. yes .. you are right , I'm not trying to sound insensitive .. honestly ... my sincere heart goes all out ...

I just don't see it here ... thank God .. I am living free
