    Good for him. 👍
The people that the wife looks after are well into their 80’s and not in the best of health, so I assume that’s why she got put forward for the vaccinations. Apparently they will be getting theirs on Christmas Eve.

Over the last year, the wife has spent a fortune on PPE so she could keep looking after them, by batch cooking their meals and taking them to appointments etc.
I have to say, she looks cute in a plastic apron, gloves, face visor and mask. For me it’s the 2020 equivalent of a sexy girl in a nurses uniform. 😉

You have kind hearted wife 😇👍

I was at my local supermarket just after 7.30 am today, as I am every Monday. It has been a good time to go there previously - maybe only a dozen of us in the store. Today was completely different.

Huge line of cars waiting to get a parking space, and about 60 people queueing for the

Started having a Tesco delivery every 2 weeks..cant beat it. Other supermarkets are available 😉

France will stop lorry movements from the UK for 48 hours in the wake of fresh concerns over the spread of a new strain of coronavirus in the UK.

The move means outbound traffic from Dover will stop.

Ministers and officials will discuss the move at the government's COBRA emergency committee on Monday.

Freight from France to the UK will be allowed, but there are fears lorry drivers will not travel to avoid being stuck in the UK.

The Port of Dover is closed to traffic leaving the UK "until further notice" due to border restrictions in France, port authorities said in a statement.

"Both accompanied freight and passenger customers are asked not to travel to the port," it said. "We understand that the restrictions will be in place for 48 hours from midnight."

    Flight bans

"Tonight's suspension of accompanied freight traffic from the UK to France has the potential to cause serious disruption to UK Christmas fresh food supplies - and exports of UK food and drink," Food and Drink Federation (FDF) chief executive Ian Wright warned.

"Continental truckers will not want to travel here if they have a real fear of getting marooned.

"The Government must very urgently persuade the French government to exempt accompanied freight from its ban."

French transport minister Jean-Baptiste Djebbarisaid France was suspendingall traffic from the UK from midnight for at least 48 hours.

A number of countries have banned or are considering stopping flights from the UK following the emergence of a new variant of coronavirus.

Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium are all halting flights, and other nations are considering the move.

Trains to Belgium are also stopping.

Eurotunnel is suspending access to its Folkestone terminal from 22:00 GMT for traffic and freight heading to Calais in France.

    Merry Christmas 😉

    It is yea.

My missus has a Thai friend here who told her children there is no Santa, it's their parents who give them the presents.

Not for me, i remember Christmas as a magical, exciting time. I want my daughter to experience that same magical Christmas feeling.

Most Definitely childrens imagination at Christmas is amazing..I know mine was..let them be children for as long as possible especially in this day and age 👍

So, tell me, after that old grandmother received the first jab some time ago, with a lot of P.R. and fanfare, how many 100.000's of Brits have been vaccinated ?

Because we are flooded with daily counts of infected and deaths, but nowhere can I see a tally of the number of people vaccinated since the start of that glorious "massive" jab campaign ?

To quote oddball from Kelly's hero's..their you go again with those negative waves..have a little faith baby..woof woof
