Please dont turn this in a pro / anti Trump or dem/lib ...

Subject is HKG.  You are most welcome to open a specific monologue in a dedicated thread.

He mentioned the present US president not me.

I didn't turn this into that. I simply gave specific examples how his statements were false.

I am not sure who you are advising.
It is obvious you have not read article V of the US constitution.
If you did you will soon find that from the bottom 15 of states by population only 2 are likely to ratify a change.
In other words 1.08% of the population is enough to block a change, equal to 75% of the several states

Come on, its been amended many times anc anc be done.

I'm sure Xi (they) are very impressed. lol

Sheeet... They are going to hold off for a good long time. Milk him and the U.S., wait to see who is next elected, position themselves for the best deal and cut it with the next Prez.

    Milk Trump?

Come on get real, China has far more to lose in a trade war than America, and it's showing. Foreign companies are starting to move out of China and the economy is dropping like a rock.

Besides, the next president is going to be Tump anyway

I've used the THC oil and i've had chemo and radiotherapy too the limits.

The doctor spoke about a new kind of treatment which can be used after the radiotherapy has left the body (6 months) of which i was told...

    By all means do that!!!

M brother in law had stage 4 breast cancer and it had spread to his face and bones 4 years ago. He went for the immune treatment and after 4 years his last PET scan showed 0 Cancer cells and is as healthy as anybody that i know now.

Expensive as hell but it worked.

We are just advisers, we give an advise only. Executing the solution is not part of the job.

But, Uncle Trump could sure tear it apart same as he did with the Trans Pacific Agreement, Iran agreement, Paris climate deal agreement, etc....

And just sack anybody who doesn't agree with him.....

Pray tell us unwashed exactly how Trump "tore up" the Constitution regarding the Iran and the Paris agreement?

You probably meant Switzerland where this is often mentioned, but forgot to say that most of them do not have any ammunition which might provide a reason for them not shooting as much.

Switzerland is led by the right wing Swiss Peoples Party.

When I lived in Switzerland, Every head of household had to have an Automatic weapon (furnished) and a stash of ammo, along with yearly training on the use and care of the weapon.

The year or so I was there were was zero gun deaths from such weapons.

Main cost : lodging. It is the most expensive place in the world.

For the rest (food, entertainment, it ok if you make decent money. Transportation is rather reasonnable)

    But lodging is the killer.

If you make decent money then its a great place to live!

Sure transportation is cheap, you can pretty much walk to anyplace.

Food? Can be very cheap, but also very expensive.

    Bar girls? forget it.

Thats  why the demonstrators should not become too violent, China would have a valid reason to "assist" the police.

Plenty PLA troops stationned in HK !

Edit : I have lived good fun years there, seems I moved on at the right time.  More and more expats leaving due to less major projects, hence more fun places closing according to some mates.

I used to live there but even then, the costs of living there were huge, and they have increased largely.

    Hi Tommy,

Secrets Hotel is totally separate from the Bar, ring fenced if you like as are all its employees.

In other words, business as normal.

Got to get back to writing my memoirs "Secrets - an inside straight". :default_dirol:

So Ben is still involved with the Hotel?

Reading between the lines here so I could be wrong.. But i'll put my neck out and see...

Now i think the owner of secrets Guest House and bar will not contribute to the running cost of secrets forum and why should Ben pay for it all when he is not making any good business from the forum.

So moving the forum on to Tapatalk will save the server bill and IPS bill which on the top end would be 700 to 800 sterling.

Tapatalk haven't paid for no forum and they maybe a minimal change for hosting the forum and Tapatalk gain the history of the forum and it will help them.

For me changing the forum to tapatalk is a no no as i've seen all the comments good and bad and for me its not  good forum software...

I also think PLAKA had his hand full with it and offered Tapatalk as an alternative.

This is my view and I may be wrong... who knows...?

    A few points:

First, Ben did and could still benefit from the forum as he promoted his new venture on the forum and I am sure he got a lot of new business from it.

Second, the forum has value, not as much as a few years ago, but Mr Egg stated that he tried to buy it was turned down.

Third: Nefarious reasons for letting it die.

You really have to wonder how people could fall for these very obvious messages.

A couple of my email contacts got messages from me saying that my GF and I were robbed and stranded in KL and please WU money to me there.

Now my GF name was right, we had been to KL many times BUT one contact was my son, who knew we were in Hong Kong, and the other was a friend who has no money. BUT if the right contact had been chosen, it was at least believable. I couldnt work out how they were going to collect WU in MY name in KL, unless they had an accomplice in the WU office though.

i read an analysis from somebody that said they are intentionally written to look that way, as the people that they are aimed at would not see the obvious fraud

Have you considered semi sexy uniforms or something different?

One of my favorite bars in the US had the girls in cut of shirts and no bras.

    The place was always full.

  13. I also use google drive. The free version works great and I bought the extended version for $1.99 a month and everything is automatically backed up for me in the cloud, encrypted of course.

I synced my laptop when I bought a new one and automatically, it was the same as my desktop.

Who remembers the glass ceiling in Bouche?

All those gyrating piss flaps right above your head.

Hold your glass up, point at it and 15 seconds later they were down the stairs and resting on your lap.

    Happy days! :default_blum:

I remember when one of the dancers did the splits and it took three of us to get her unstuck.

I made that last bit up!:default_blum:

I remember the beach club. mirrored tables where damsels would dance on in miniskirts with no knickers.....

One of the reasons I got out of gogo bars was that I felt bad for the girls who had to dance for hours and hours on end. No matter what you’re getting paid.

I ask anyone to get in a pair of high heels and dance for the best part of 8 hours every day, even the best dancers in the world would get bored shitless.

Add to that the extortionate barfines, I found working there a chore.
Much prefer the beer bars. I have a concept for a bar that would show flesh, but the girls wouldn’t need to dance. Think it would be popular.
    Anyway, sorry, back to Scooters.

    That sounds great to me!

Why not try it in your bar?

I've got a Canuck mate who lives in Amnat Charoen, north or NW or Ubon. He loves it there, nice and quiet and he can go on long motorbike rides around Isaan and the North when he gets fed up with wifey nagging him.

The downside is that to get a decent loaf of farang-style bread means a 100 mile round-trip into the Tops supermarket in Ubon. He goes to farang-oriented cafes and so on, and meets up with farang friends, but the distances involved generally seem to be a pain in the proverbial. Personally I like Pattaya with everything I need a few klicks from my doorstep, but if you don't like big cities then I can well understand that up around the Ubon are a would be a nice place to live. I think I'd try and get somewhere near the river, though.

    I probablyally have seen him!

My wife is from there and I spend a month there one week.....
