Sounds like the Bay Area/Southern California commute traffic. How about Donnor Lake up the road? I did see on the news that since the virus the San Francisco Bay area people are buying up all the property in Tahoe. Maybe it's time to leave the Cali Bureaucracy Stalog. I'm loving the Pacific Northwest and would never go back.

Actually Tahoe traffic is worse than the bay area, as it is stop and go (mostly stop) at all times during the busy season.

I almost bought a house on Donner lake Road (The South side) and the traffic was much better than Tahoe with far less building restrictions but a much smaller lake.

As for the sale time, it was literally sold within a few hours after the listing with several offers above the listing price.

Thats standard practice where I'm from.

The lawyer/notary ensures both parties stick to their end of the agreement, all paperwork is in order and distributes the sums.

In the US, that's called escrow, which is independent of either party and legally neutral.

I have a friend who retired there -- big house on the Kohala Coast (Big Island).
Fruit trees, pakalolo plants, lovely wife (who works as a teacher).
Five minute drive from Hapuna Beach.
    Loves it.

(interweb photo of Hapuna...my friend lives on the volcano slope in the background.)

I live on the big Island about 30 miles south of his house.

We are about 1800 feet in elevation which means that we don't need heat or a/c, and we have almost 2 acres that my T/W can grow all kinds of things that she is used to eating in Thailand.

Our house is small - 2 bedrooms with huge lanai's (patios) where we spend most of our time, as the weather is usually perfect.

I think the ones that lands on a barge is way more impressive .

I agree but IMHO, the reason they did not do that was the amount of fuel that would be necessary to take from earth to the space station, then use for the decent - That's a lot of extra weight for liftoff.

Well when the experts report check the age groups included in the phase III trials.

According to the boards experts only those over 65 get sick. All people under 65 should be down the pub, at the beach or even possibly at work. If the study groups don't include all ages then the results may not be reliable.

My understanding is that in the US the FDA will only license a vaccine for the age groups included in the trials. If there are no over 65s in the trial it won't be licensed for over 65s. To be used, a doctor will have to go off label. Other countries may have different rules.

In the US, any Doctor can prescribe ANY meds that have been approved, regardless of what they were originally intended for,

    9.      They were originally called BAKED beans because the can is first filled with blanched beans, then the sauce, then the can is sealed with a lid, and THEN the cooking begins. The beans are cooked inside the sealed can. Yes that’s right – INSIDE THE CAN – and not before they go into the can.

That's true for any canned product.

The only way to kill any germs is to seal the can, then put it in a steam room at high temps for a bit that kills anything inside the canss.

Appreciate there is a potential confidentiality issue with internal email but are there any public sources with this evidence, you could share?

Have to say I thought theory of warmer climates killing off the virus sounded good but had been disproved. With return of a very full sporting calendar  my interest in other news has tailed off😁so may have missed this fresh evidence  on climate & the virus,

IMHO, warmer weather means more people are outside where it is much harder for the virus to spread, Vs. winter, where most people are indoors with restricted fresh air.

    Great little cars!

I had a Lancia Scorpion. Basically the same frame with a body designed by the Farrari team. Way under powered with all of the US smog equipment installed, so I stripped it all off and had it turbo charged.

i think its a large reason why the "curve "isnt declining rapidly as it should...the pool  keeps being topped up by new arrivals and off it goes again doubling the infection in resident  people  every 12-24hrs

Yes, but with the dramatic increase of testing, it is difficult to compare numbers.

    Old saying...
"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."

    My way...
"You can lead an old goat to information, but you can't make him think."

    The way I remember it:

You can lead a horse to drink, but you cannot make him water...
