I can't upload a scan of my passport because it is well over 2MB limit.
I use Photo Pad free to resize images. Simple to use.

Just booked another Thailand trip ... for Oct 2024 - returning early Dec
It's much further ahead than I would normally look , but I was just checking prices to compare with my recent trip and my next one ...and I saw Etihad Business, good connection times for £2,170 .... I do prefer direct , but that was too good to ignore ..
Last week I came here Etihad on a similar priced ticket but within a week I was moved to flight with a 8 or 9 hour layover so paid an extra £160 to have it switched back apparently the "class" of this ticket is the lowest possible. I'm not raining on your parade just warning you.
I was wary of flying Etihad again as the previous LHR - AUH - BKK flights the service and attendant attitude were awful but this time they were really good and I enjoyed the flights.

I’ve never bothered with the bloggers that do the usual walk down walking street or the usual venues in BKK , but I did watch some guy vlogging from he and his wife’s farm out in the sticks. I did find him interesting, but can’t remember his name. 😟
Perhaps Toon & Leigh Porpeang farm?

I think they are vlogging a dead horse. As you say repetitive content over all channels.
Forums are starting to die as well.- 1

When I arrive at immigration do I need a paper boarding pass or can I show them it on my phone?
Thanks in advance.

I fully agree with Glasseye in that you should be well dressed. I usually wear slacks and a decent shirt to go to immigration. I even got a nod from the stone faced old boot in Jomtien which made my day.
You can now book an appointment for Jomtien saving joining the snake outside.

Does tipping / spending excessively get you respect from Thais?.
in General topics
Posted
I am in the 20 b tipping range but have been considerably more generous in my younger days.
In answer to the question in the OP I do not believe handing big tips garners any respect from Thai people and maybe the reverse anywhere from stupid man to what a twat.
I married my first Thai wife inn Bangkok and started the honeymoon off by coming to Pattaya to meet mates. Happy hours were spent on the lash. The next day my wife asked for 500 baht each and she would take care of the bins. The next afternoon we went out as usual but when we got back to the hotel I asked wifey why she hadn't asked for any money. "I not need. Have money left from day before. Stupid farang tip much!!"
As she later said "Why you give money other people family and not your own"
