  1. Another grim day in the USA...2,000 dead from Covid. Well, that's the bad news..the good news is we're flattening. By August we should be below 500 deaths a day..Yeah, ain't life great!!
  2. I know of a 10 year old, my buddy's Granddaughter that had it and yeah her symptoms were pretty mild. Tired, lethargy etc. Not always the case though, some kids do die. We know so little about this disease, that it's hard to make any sweeping generalizations one way or the other.
  3. In my neck of the woods, some kind of face covering has been mandatory since 2 weeks ago when you can't be 6 feet apart from another person. Kinda figured that has been the case in the UK. Surprised to find out that it's not.
  4. Boy, you really know how to hurt a guy . I wouldn't watch Fox if my life depended on it, nor read those other two rags you mention. My position on this issue is based on USA numbers, not bum f**k France. I know what the numbers are. If you want to find them, just Google it. It's not rocket science. Paper, pen calculator, spreadsheets? The 70's are calling, they want their calculator back. lol
  5. I would imagine that traffic deaths and murders are down since the lock down. But w/o a lock down traffic deaths and murders would then rise to their normal levels, plus the extra deaths due to Covid and even more Covid deaths because we never locked down. No thanks, not for me amigo.
  6. So like code, you believe they're over-reporting Covid deaths that are not really Covid deaths. Please explain your rationale.
  7. As if lol. If anything deaths are massively under- reported...well USA anyway. Thousands dead in their homes. The stink will soon root them out.
  8. Covid-19 is death. Losing a job..is not death. You lost your job, then get a job as an essential worker. No special skills required to drive for uber eats and make 35 bucks an hour. Or sit on your ass and collect unemployment till this all blows over.
  9. Could be worse mate. Imagine this shit going down in a weak economy such as that in 2008. Fundamentally, the economy is strong so if you have to put it in a coma, it may not be the worst time. I think when it comes back it's going to be with a roar, not a whimper. You read it here first.
  10. Swedes are bull-headed. I know, Mom was Half Swede. lol I won't be following their lead. Just worried they may need more body-bags than ventilators.
  11. All the same, I think I'll stick with the science. https://www.sciencealert.com/why-herd-immunity-will-not-save-us-from-the-covid-19-pandemic
  12. Opening up USA. lol Lets make America great sick again.
  13. That's the big hurdle here. Tests, tests. Not enough tests. But Georgia and Rompho Rays South Carolina are going to start lifting sanctions this Friday despite limited testing. I hope it works out.
  14. Not to worry lads, their God will save them. 😀
  15. 2,000 more dead in the USA today. You'll recall that Dr. Fauci revised his figures down to 60,000 dead a few weeks ago. At this rate we'll be there (60,000) this weekend. What's beyond that? Who knows more body bags?
  16. Oil Trading futures below zero $ a barrel. The world has been turned upside down.
  17. Well it's peanuts in the big scheme of things, when you consider the 5th largest economy in the world is agriculture driven and tourist driven. Seasonal and undocumented folks are filling those jobs and driving that part of the economy. We need them as we enter recovery.
  18. What's the deal with the shit tests that Boris bought?
  19. Lately, I'm getting really pissed off that folk want to compare this outbreak and death rate to traffic accident death rates, cancer death rates and whatever the f**k you want to compare it to. Traffic accidents don't infect people, but viruses do. Big big difference.
  20. Getting strong numbers that turning patients on to there stomachs mitigates breathing problems. Makes sense. Saving lives gents #1.
  21. See this is the most Salient point in this whole debate and everyone just blows it off. It's called a nouveau virus for a good reason, because we know f**k all about it. Here in the USA we just never got the testing thing right, so were forced into a shelter in place. In my county of 500,000 we finally received tests, but we had no swabs to conduct the tests. Pathetic.
  22. I can't get a haircut. I look like Ted the Unibomber coming out of the woods of Montana.
  23. Tell it to our steadfast Libertarians on this board. 😀 ie...the cure is worse than the solution.
  24. Yes, I can only imagine what the poor man has been through. Thoughts and prayers.
