  1. My stress almost disappeared when I quite literally told my (prick ) boss to shove his job where the sun don't shine ( 6 weeks ago) I had to come back the next week to pass on a few ongoing projects

He showed his true colors and had a leaving lunch paid by the company but didn't invite me or my team

Many Many of the employees came and saw me after and all said what a sick  @@##@# he was even the ceo ( was originally from a maintenance trade)came and diplomatically said that was a shit show

Now I sit by the pool at hotel on soi lenkee and worry about what should I have for lunch and decide if I should visit that lbfm that was giving me the I need you look

My last 5 months in Thailand have been the hottest I have ever experienced there. Even the period through New Year into January was way hotter than normal and the last month was real feel over 40 nearly every day!

Yes I know I have spent most days this week doing scientific tests on the hotel swimming pool temperatures

Yep.... Those days are over. I was able to give away a great deal of stuff, but you never know what will happen to it.

The return $ on 95 % of it is minimal.

It's as much about time and release of emotional attachments. It's a process. Once you come to grips with it can be liberating.

Yes I know the price of top quality tools are eye watering, I recall I paid something like $300 for a starrwhillie flogging spanner 99% wouldn't even know what it is used for

Sad in one way but good that you are passing it on to someone who has a use and will, hopefully, use and appreciate them.

It's why I have given $1000 s of tools away In the last couple of years you amass truck loads of stuff over 50 years rather see it used than dumped

Probably put him on an Interpol list, so each and every passport control desk which operates with the 196 Interpol countries will alert the operator to his presence (although any Aircraft / Passenger ship manifest would be pre screened for known names anyway). Depending on how much of a need there is to get him, the relevant resource will be assigned, from either coming across him by pure chance to actively seeking him out.

He's probably traveling on a false passport, or maybe even a legit one held by someone who looks like him.

Interestingly enough, I spotted Facial recognition Cameras in use on Beach Road during my trip, they were mobile as well.

How do you spot facial recognition cameras do they have some extra features

It's a rare night when I stop in and the vibe is off.

Last week there was a guy in there that started a killer pool game with a twist. Not only did he put up a good chunk of money for 1/2/3 in the amount of 1500/1000/500, he also set the rule if the lady wanted to be able to pot the black, she had to play the game naked. With the amount of money up for grabs I got to watch about a dozen naked ladies playing pool.

Well if you see me in there come say high I don't play pool

We've all seen them, maybe even met or had a chat with them, but this trip I saw nada, zero, none. (I'm not including the sadder cases of those who've psychosis induced issues due to alcoholic abuse or drug abuse over an extended period of time - these people have hopefully received the care they need).

Last year I saw a bloke in Trench Town wearing a kilt, along with fishnet stockings , the following night he was in a multicoloured katftan. Introduced himself as "Steve" and was a great laugh and very nice guy indeed, very articulate and intelligent.

This trip though, no one at all. I saw some vloggers (cunts) noteably that "vlogging a dead horse" twat who almost managed to get himself a good hiding from a bloke in Time Bar on LKM, but it was quickly de escalated.

I even missed bm @Nightcrawler sporting his safari suit , cravat and cigarette holder.

I noticed the pace of things is much faster now. Treetown seems to be very transient in its customer base, guys sit, have a beer then move on. Very little "intimacy" as well - not in the literal sense of the word , but perhaps the open design of the entire place doesn't lend itself to that, the girls don't seem to want to go beyond the normal interrogation routine,  it's like they get a drink and then the conversation stalls.

Not wanting all BM's to munch on a nostalgia sandwich, but this trip there were a handful of bars where I was made to feel welcome, and numerous bars where I was made to feel like just another faceless farang.

Nightcrawler told us in the mods room that refused to return his crotchless lederhosen

To be quite frank I wouldn't want them after you too perverts had had your way

The top one is a Brenn LMG.

In the 70s I was trained on both the Brenn and the GPMG (Jimpy). From memory I preferred the Brenn mainly because it meant less faffing about with and was more soldier friendly ..

The IRA also used a couple of Brenns with the old wooden stocks that had receptacles meant for oil cannisters which coincidentally could be made into the size of a location beacon, movement detector and small batteries .....

I remember the gpmg when I was doing my military service we had the gpmg the slr and the m16

  11. I think it is a result of the situation you were raised in

My mum hated to waste any thing ( my parents were comfortable) my granddad was from Scotland was a coal miner on the west coast of nz during the depression ( huge amounts of unemployment)

My dad's father was a banker not rich but there was always food on the table and he regarded any thing that hadn't been used in 6 months should be looked at and considered waste

When they were in their 80s mum was getting real bad at hanging on to stuff like stock from a shop mum had owned 20 years earlier and dad would ring me up ( I had rubbish trucks) " your mum is out this afternoon are you going past with a truck " I would have one of the boys ring him when he was 10 minutes away and dad would start stacking stuff by the garage plus a box of beer even after he had been told repeatedly no need for the beer and the driver was a fit young feller and would carry all the stuff

When I lived there I remember the last day (19th), there was a procession with the monks along the second road, that was in the afternoon. I was in the Waterfall Bar (I think) and once the procession had passed, the whole place quietened down, in fact it felt a bit like everybody had just gone home. Most were drunk, wet and seemed ready for bed, the streets were really empty.

If you are arriving in the afternoon, it is possible that Pattaya may have stopped the madness.

Of course, this was when I was living there and the idiots that now come into town may be keeping all the small side streets and beach road as wet as a river and therefore continue the traffic chaos. .

I would probably just stay the night in Bangkok and come down on the 20th at earliest.

Just noticed the procession starts at 1200 from Wat Chai Mong Khon and returns to the temple at 1600.

Thanks for that buddy staying in soi lenkee first few nights so might get there from 3rd rd

How are you getting to Patts ... most taxi companies will not be running that day ?

I did the journey once ( pre internet ) and it took two hours to get to Patts , then another three to get to my hotel ( Diana Inn )

    Bugger didn't think about that
