I had a car painted by him a 1978 Mercury Monarch all four quarter panels had four or five inch rust holes in them because it was a car from Michigan and the road salt ate through the panels. They did all the bond over primed it painted it clear-coated it and it looked like a million bucks when they were done with it it looked like it was ready for the garbage before they started. Cost me 200 bucks. They were definitely the fast food car painters

  2. So they got Beach road beautification finished or did they all the equipments gone all the materials are gone no more employees working. But in walking today I noticed for whatever reason they left all the old blocks and brickwork in place between Soi 10 and Soi 12. Since it's now low season it would seem like they would continue to work and finish it unless they're not going to finish it and I can't imagine why just in that location anybody got any ideas?

Noticed too Friday morning she had four huge buckets out front filled with water ready for the water play. Nice of her to do that considering her business hasn't opened yet.

Have you figured out what this new place will be? My guess is a fresh food market, which would be a great addition to our neighborhood.

Noticed too how a lady that is probably the owner has been out their daily sweeping and keeping the place immaculately clean.

Pretty sure it's owned by the lady that owns the big big Market just across from there. She's a really nice lady I was walking by one day about a week before Christmas and she had thousands of packs of water and she was giving them away to everybody for Christmas anybody coming by she'd stop them and give them a nine pack of that water. She really is a nice lady

Nice and juicy. Almost looks like pork shoulder. I'd be happy with either.

Could be mistaken for pork the problem is they're so thin that I cooked them in the George Foreman for about one and a half minutes only so they don't get a nice Char on the outside if I cook them any longer they'll be overcooked considering how I like them. So that's why the lack of charge but they were nice

Knocked up a sticky chicken and cashew nuts. Was lovely, but it is pretty heavy on the salt, so suggest using reduced salt soy sauce if needed. I love the taste of Hoisin sauce.

Topped with spring onions, sesame seeds and chilli flakes.

Buying some tooling from Australia. The sellers Portal uses PayPal. I don't have / cant get PayPal, so emailed him to explain. He said give him a call with a card number and he'd process payment ( a little over THB 12k ) that way. So I did.

Got a message from the guy to say payment declined. No message from Bangkok Bank.

Went to the Bank this morning, explained ( 1 ) the situation. The teller got on the phone to someone and asked me to speak, so explained (2 ) again. She told me to contact Lazada. I asked "Why - it's not a Lazada purchase". She asked how did I buy the tooling ? I said " I saw it featured on a YouTube video, Googled the supplier, got an email address, contacted him, placed an order ( via email ), got an Invoice ( via email ) called him as requested and gave card details" She didn't understand how I could place an order outside of the internet. Told me to buy via Lazada, Shopee or similar. I told her the goods were only available from this supplier in Australia - which she couldn't understand. Passed me on to a supervisor, who asked me to explain ( 3 ).

Then the Bank Manager ( I was in Central Festival ) wanted to know why I was keeping her teller busy - so I explained again ( 4 ). Was then told that Bangkok Bank would only allow me to use the Debit Card; the Bank wouldn't accept submission of the card number from a third party, especially a third party abroad.

I asked how to overcome the issue. Was offered an International Bank > Bank transfer. "Great" I say, "lets do it" Then the kicker - it would cost THB 1,850 and take 2 > 3 weeks to arrive in the recipients bank account. I managed not to swear.

Came home, opened Wise, set-up a "New recipient" under "Send Funds" instigated the transaction., which I'm told took 18 seconds. Sent a copy of the payment confirmation to the recipient, currently waiting to hear if he sees the funds in his account.

My impression of the High-street banks "if it ain't simple, they can't do it !"

    Wise is brilliant

Reminder to Gringos; today 15 April is Tax day and the day you should be either filing a Fincen/FBAR about your Thai bank accounts or request an extension.

The FBAR is separate from the IRS FACTA Form 8938 if you are minted and have a lot of foreign income/accounts/assets so the former is online and goes to the Treasury and the later (if you are minted and it's a required form for you) goes with your 1040 submittal to the IRS.

Buddha, it's great to be a

Filed mine January 1st the F Bar only takes 5 minutes or so online if you have all of your account numbers and balances in front of you I do it and be done with it very early every year

Was this at a Bangkok Bank ATM or a K Bank ATM?

I don't understand how the Bangkok app or ATM would know your K Bank account number and balance (and vice versa).

It was a k bank ATM the one in front of our building I have no idea how it works it just did very strange

Bangok Bank cardless withdrawals also offer Aeon Bank and one other as options, but I read it you would have to use the K Bank app at a Bangkok Bank ATM to withdraw from your K account?

I first noticed it a couple of weeks ago but don't have a Kasikorn account but wondered whether it worked the other way.

Found myself a Kasikorn ATM and yes, the Bangkok Bank option is there so I carried on with my Bangkok Bank app.  Got the QR code up on screen but got an "Invalid Code" message on my phone when I scanned it.  So close but no cigar yet, for me anyway.

I was using my Bangkok Bank app and I withdrew from My K Bank account all good for me
