    No.

Do not rely on VPN to cover you on serious stuff.

    You will get burned.

It's good for stuff like certain entertainment things. But, an insurance company or government agency would eventually discover, and they would nail you hard.

Many of them require that you not be on VPN when you file. But things are always changing.

Works okay with US department of social security for me anyway with a VPN

    Little update......

This is becoming ridiculous I'm sure it's not their fault with all of the red tape involved but  when asked during this video by Dean if he has a new date he said he hopes next week. I will make book that doesn't happen. Everyday that goes by these investors are losing money. I guess they're hoping for a big Songkran week holiday. And there's still not completely sold out. Reminds me of the Hall of Fame beer bar complex behind the new made in Thailand complex. It's been open a while and they still have at least three but maybe as many as five of those beer bars empty and available still. I have reminded him High season it's really over and it's a long low season.

I really have no clue. One thing you may want to consider. Set up and account with Bangkok Bank. You can have your checks Direct Deposited into their NYC branch then it will be transfered into your Thailand branch. All kosher.

They still do this but I think you have to set it up through contacts before opening the account.

*** I will be looking into this more today.

Not sure that's the best idea because if you deposit it automatically like you say and what many do in Bangkok Bank and then it's automatically transferred here they'll have a record of it coming from out of the country it will be interesting

The little bit I know is that formal penision (like a state pension and/or SS) should be what is considered "protected" income. That would be income that is already taxed in the country where it came from. According to the treaties that are already within place.

How we go about easily showing the docs they will be wanting when the time comes I have yet to figure out. I am guessing by the time it will be required it should be figured out, maybe.

Yes but my point is when you transfer money with wise it is not brought in from another country they have accounts here in which they transfer their money from their account to your account so this would not show up is coming in from out of the country

  6. I transfer money when I need it from wise I get it fast trouble free. But I just realized that Wise doesn't send any money from the US to me they use their accounts within this country to transfer money to My Thai account. So those transfers obviously are not going to show up is coming in from out of the country I wonder how the tax people will deal with this. Maybe a loophole that a lot of people can take  advantage of. I'm not really concerned if I get taxed I get taxed but as I said this money would not show up as an international transfer will be interesting to see how this works out

It is interesting how most Pattaya Vloggers have changed their tune over the years ..

10 years ago it was all sneering "This is where cheap charlie broke expats eat" to "You should try this place for real Thai food, cheap and delicious" .....

I wandered into this food court type place about a year ago I was in the neighborhood I wanted to get something to take home so I figured I'd give him a try. Never bothered asking how much the food was because I learned from another expat that life is too short to worry about spending money on something like food that you enjoy. In any event I brought the food home it was so good I couldn't believe how cheap it was and that's why I returned if they went up 50% on the prices I would still be going back. It's just good food

  8. And that's a massive bar it's both the Old Fever and the shop next to them that's open in the photo I think it's the equivalent of four Shop houses. Along with that other bar that you posted that's getting built and Club Secrets that's already in that complex I'm guessing that whole area is going to turn into another little entertainment area it's okay with me I kind of like all the action around here I got tired of going out on my balcony and looking at a dirt lot

The Small food market opposite the big vegetable market on Soi Boukow lots of vendors selling lots of similar food items for 35 or 40 bath each and rice 10 baht. I have tried a few of the places there and would and do return to any of them
