    They just create work for themselves. My mate had to return to Jomtien today with his under consideration amnesty stamp to extend to 26th, 31st or 30 Nov? He will only know Monday as he has to go back then to get his passport. That's 3 trips that should have been 1.

    Mate went back today to collect his PP. Stamped in until 31st Oct. Told to return on the 30th for the next stamp. 🙄

    I have to say D each IO/Officer ime operates differently, some are just king size racist wankers who are in the wrong job whilst others could'nt be more helpful/accomodating.

    My experiences here in Korat are very good and positive but Jomtien could always be a problem when i lived/could use Jomtien (Barry Kenyon days) in Patts. Maybe the office is just too busy and the officers are continually under pressure hence their poor attitude.

    We never really stopped again until Lampang where most of the remaining seats filled up, including a group of four or five with twice that many huge bags they had trouble fitting into the bus storage.  We would come across them again later!  Phayao was the only other bus station stop off I remember, but I might have dozed through others.  Passed The White Temple on our left, I think and about an hour early arrived into Chiang Rai Bus Terminal 2.  A sandwich and a tin of cola had been handed out on the bus about 30 minutes before arrival.

    We found the blue Song Taew's pick up point but were beaten to it by the girls with the huge bags.  Now Johnny Baht Bus wants as many in as he can so these bags, the girls and us were squashed in everywhere, including outside on the roof, to maximise his baht.  Terminal 1 in just a few minutes and a short walk to our digs, despite lots of encouragement from tuk tuk and taxi drivers to use their services.  We'd arranged early check in so it was a relief to get in and showered at that time in the morning.

    A couple of questions for anyone still reading.

    1)  Do the blue baht buses wait around for the return trip from bus terminal 1 to bus terminal 2, and if so, where?

    2)  Can you go from Bus Terminal 1 to Chiang Mai.  I've read "yes" on line but couldn't work out how when we there briefly earlier.

  4. Seems things are just not going well for you here. Worrying about finance is stress you don't need. Go back and get a job. Weather won't be great, but you'll have mates around you and it sounds like you need them right now. With a bit of cash built up you might enjoy a long holiday here every year better. Good luck wherever you end up.

    @roobob @rhodie Thanks.

    For some reason I expected a bit more shelf life than that, just checked my London Pride and London Porter bottles, they look to have a year on them too! I guess that must be fairly standard for bottled beers all over then.

    I don't think they last too long in this heat, if not stored well. Got a few older ones when the bars re-opened here and I could taste the difference.

    Hallmark is great and I'm sure he can get you a bike. He doesn't rent pcx bikes. I'm a very big guy and the honda bikes he has are plenty big enough for me and a girl. I'm over 300lbs. His bikes are well maintained and he is easy to reach. Parking a pcx can be a problem as most spaces are too narrow for them and you end up scratching them up.
