Foreigner played at first concert I attended. It was The Day of Rock and Roll, in the Superdome. I still can’t believe our parents let my brothers and I drive over 200 miles to New Orleans by ourselves. My older brother was 17, I was 15 and my little brother was 11 or 12. They would probably be arrested if they did that today.

Christopher Cross opened, followed by Cheap Trick, then Foreigner. The Eagles finished out the night. I think the tickets were about $12.

Jesus..... Foreigner, Cheap Trick and the Eagles in the same show ? Nice !

Cheap Trick could blow the walls down in just about any venue.

I would have been in a shitter stall doing lines when Cross was playing. lol

I stopped in a pharmacy today on my way to the post office (brutal walk). Popped in for a cold beverage. The lady was glued to the t.v. watching some Thai soap. I had a good chuckle.

  3. If you want the best security possible on a large amount transfer I would stick with a bank to bank wire transfer (domestic or international) ave. fee probably $25, and can take days. But, it is much safer than any private transfer company. I like Wise for basic transfers, but if I was to make a large or very important transfer I would use the bank to bank wire).

I had an unfortunate experience with a dutchman recently. Mrs TT and u had just arrived at our local for dinner when the staff rushed up to us saying that a farang had driven into our car. True enough a completely plastered dutchman had ripped off the front wing of our car. He begged me not to call the police or insurance because of his inebriation and faithfully promised to settle any bill for damage repair. He caimed to be a good friend of the owner of the restaurant.  Stupid me believed him and subsequently ended up paying a 35,000 bill and getting ghosted by him and his g/f . He though is banned from the restaurant.

Each case is different. Police and insurance being contacted is pretty standard operating procedure though. The guy would have to hand over some serious dosh on the spot for me to let that fly.

IMO anyone driving impaired is an automatic shitbag in my book anyway. You got double whammied on that one.

One more reason why I don't want to own a motor vehicle of any kind. They're a mountain of expense and hassle. If you drive a car chances are fairly high that if something bad happens in your life a car will somehow be involved.

Best fight ever IMO, the glory days of boxing were the 70’s to 90’s, don’t follow it anymore.

You are too young probably to young to remember  the "Thrilla in Manila", Ali v. Frazier, 1975.

I listened to it on the radio. I remember listening to parts of it on the bus on the way home from school.

Then there was the famous Frazier v. George Foreman fight, 1973.

"Down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier ! "

    -----------------------------------------

After that era I just lost interest. There was Tyson of course, but he was who he was...

Just got home from the gym. There was this young lady around early 20’s on the treadmill next to me.

She had this bra type top on and a lovely pair of tits that were bouncing nicely as she jogged. Tried to catch a glances without being caught lol.

    Made for a nice workout.

Yep. I've gotten real good at sneaking peaks.

Young lady comes in sometimes that is smoking hot. Unfortunately her dufus boyfriend with the man bun look is always tagging along.

I do the "in the zone" thing. But get one in every now and then.

Had one in there the other day wearing very tight pink gym shorts. Incredible bum. Very difficult to keep my eyes in the right direction. Torture.

Haven't had a ribeye in years. Looks fabulous.

The gravy looks tremendous as well. But I would leave that for the fries. I tend to eat a good piece of meat with salt only.

I sympathise with your feelings. I was "fortunate" enough to be in Saudi during the first gulf War and to see the bombers taking off  wuthering long black tails of exhaust out as they struggled for altitude was incredible.

Just to be clear. The tears were because of the horrors those bombers had delivered.

Good on you for making someone's day and good on them for being honest.

Karma works both ways and has done so in this case.

Don't give your good lady too much of a hard time, it can happen to all of us when tired and exhausted.Props to you as well for handling an extra 5+ hours to your journey.

Sometimes life throws us a curveball and in your case, all has worked out very well for everyone , apart from the poor bugger having to drive!.

It could have been so much worse, all things considered.

Good stuff thrown my way.... comes back in buckets from me, for a lifetime.
