The Fx analysts seem stumped why the pound was the best-performing major currency last week. They still think that over the coming weeks it's going to head downwards, so this is a good buying opportunity for companies to cash in on the rate. I guess the same is true for us minions, unless you think for some reason that the pound's rally might last into next week. Since they don't know why it did well last week, I'm going to be bullish and bet on a higher rate in the coming week. I usually end up regretting these decisions, though, lol....
Not Sterling strength entirely down to Dollar weakness. Same for Euro highest against the USD in 2 years and same Aussie Dollar. Dollar weak against all major currencies......the yanks are also concerned that Biden will topple Trump and that wont go down well for the USD

Used as the background track to more Lezzer shows in Pattaya than any other.....😂

Not a sniff only just got back July flight money..
May think about Xmas and stat for 6 weeks nearer the time ..
I've no interest whatsoever though going to a place with too many new rules and half open if I do go it's got to be back to some kind of normal (which i'm not so sure this year at least)
Exactly. Nothing will be remotely back to normal until 2022 at the earliest if even then. Reading elsewhere that Swissport Ground handling agents announced yesterday redundancies and expected not back to normal till 2024 (not a typo) yet people are thinking they're coming back to as before. Years away simple as

I think that when the bars do open the restrictions will be so onerous that no one will want to sit their and drink on their own anyway with a mask on 2m from anyone else and obviously no girls. Cant imagine UK and USA nationals getting past immigration until late next year either for obvious reasons

Staggering really that the benchmark for the Baht is still only 31.86 against the Greenback
Even back in March early on it had weakened out to 33.17 but ever since strength has returned. If ever there was an thought that the Baht was over valued in light of the current crisis is gone for ever.
For Brits the only way to increase our rate is Sterling moving back to pre Brexit levels against the Dollar at $1.54

I'm not trying to troll here but no one on planet earth will put up with that. The vast majority of tourists are 2 weeks or less in the first place !

I'm going Benidorm this winter for two trips assuming its open to all which by all reports is 99% nailed on. Pattaya was in a death spiral pre Covid lets be honest no good saying well LK Metro is or was busy most nights when 90% swathes of Pattaya bars are empty
This will muller the situation further.

Inbound quarantine back into the UK is only in 3 weeks segments reviewed for first time three weeks after June 8th.
Seeing Thailand wont be open to Brits in 2020 (and probably well into 2021) will hardly matter to us anyway

This is how rumours start, the name is not mentioned in the original post but now some have their view of the establishment. TQ would be my choice but others have mentioned a few other establishments such as FarEast Rock and Classroom.
Good job there isn't a lynching involved lol
The only other one that might "possibly" have matched the description would be Baccara.

Not saying you are wrong but what about the likes of Classroom and Far East Rock.
Possibly but I wouldnt really call them famous per se. The one I'm deliberately not naming was the very first in Pattaya....

Expats will keep things ticking over this year once bars can reopen.
Really ?? What percentage of the normal numbers in Pattaya at any time of the year are Expats ?? 15% tops (and thats being very generous.) Bars were in a death spiral pre covid but with just expats visiting I'd doubt they'll cover the utility bills let alone any salaries

Giffgaff have a similar offering on unlimited downloads, but I think only the first 40 GB is at full speed, then during peak hours it's throttled back a bit. I used their 40GB for £20 offer last year when I was back and was well pleased with it, Vodafone wanted £25 for just 15 GB.
Oh, I see they've upgraded the 40GB to 80GB now, can;t complain at that either.
I'm actually on Giffgaff but I actually dismissed them as a hotspot as they used to wet their knickers if people were tethering

Now where I live the internet was very slow. It was partly down to the Exchanges not being upgraded (yet) where I live but also because of very old wiring into the house itself
As it always ran at 3 or 4 Mbps down it was always quick enough to run Youtube or stream movies.....just.
Now probably like most I never used the landline and it was purely for broadband connection via Sky tv (just phone and broadband itself) even my aged mother had taken to callIing me via mobile so thought bin it if I can find an alternative
Enter the 3 network which from the blurb seemed a bit too good to be true. Basically order online a router Sim goes inside and that is that lol. Password connects up to 64 units to it unlimited data and all for £22 a month.
I've had it 6 months now. Obviously caveat is you need to check the 3 network signal in your area via website before ordering but there is a 14 day colling off period anyway
This is what I now get on an average day as regards speed. Now am sure others at home get even higher speeds from Virgin Media etc etc but compare this to what I was getting before
Now the very best bit is its obviously portable.....take the router wherever you want all you need obviously is a power outlet wherever you are in the UK

Came up as a random suggestion on Youtube......I ended up watching it twice over the weekend ! Typical British style Bank Robbery which apart from Shaun Williamson being miscast as a Police Chief was really good. Anything with Geoff Bell in I enjoy.
Definately worth a viewing or save it for one of those nights we're bored.

Money number 1 despite being 6 months up the duff with my son lol

@Steelers4Life Remember this?
No the Phuket Air aircraft was found on a spot inspection at Gatwick to be so seriously defected (few days after I landed) that it was grounded indefinately on that day and never flew again. Even the transponder didnt work lol
Quite a few articles on it
