If I was back in UK I'd be searching for a pint of your namesake ... Old Thumper brewed by Ringwood Brewery ... Lush !!!

There are some things that you just can't improve on.

I love Joe Walsh.  I met him in Phoenix a million years ago. I have never met anyone who hit the alcohol and drugs as hard as he did. I had a good friend that was a music promoter and brought a lot of the big names into Phx for performances. It was a wild and crazy time. He has been clean an sober now for a long time.

  3. Wheels up Durango tomorrow morning ( March 12th) at 7am for Denver.

Dgo to Denver 2 hours.  Denver to Tokyo 13 hours.  Tokyo to Bangkok 7 hours.  Taxi to Pattaya 1 1/2 hours.

I arrive Bkk just after midnight, gather luggage, out to taxi stand and arrive Pattaya around 2:30 am on. All in all it will be a 30 hour travel day.  Its a brutal day but worth every minute. I thinks its been 3 years since I last strolled down Walking Street

The county I live in has a small population with Durango being the largest city. Total population is around 36,000. We are a major tourist destination and millions pass through every year. But this month we have had an daily average  of 22 new cases reported every day. Last September we averaged 19 people testing positive every day for covid19.

The GF and I have both had our 3rd vaccine shots and were glade to get them. We are both in our 70s and willingly wear our masks when out an about. But we are the exception. The vest majority that we see are going bareback. ALL our grocery stores and most restaurants require masks at all times but that's about it.

Because of the shut downs in the beginning we didn't have many cases at all. For the longest time we were well under 50 cases total. But after everything opening back up and the tourists started their mass exodus of the big city's we are now over 6000 positive cases reported. And it's growing daily. All we can do is try to be smart in keeping our little bubble safe.

Im feeling is that this thing is never going away and will most probably keep reinventing its self into something newer and nastier

My Stepfather used to say that the world needs a good plague, a good famine and a few World Wars as a way of thinning down on the population.

Me.... I just want a few more Great trips to Pattaya and meet up with all the friends that I've made there over the years.
