  2. Moon to get its own time zone created by NASA - but clocks work differently there

NASA has been directed to create a standard time zone for the moon to make sure communications are synchronised and data transfers in space are secure. But the same clock on Earth would move differently on the moon - making the time zone both vital and complicated to develop.

Please tell me the noise these clocks make are going to be called lunar-ticks.

The place looks more like an oil refinery.

The Warburn winery, at Griffith in the state's south, was established in 1968 by the late Tony Sergi, a man known as the "don of dons", who police have said was instrumental in building the Calabrian mafia's Australian cell.

    Video of the first cut.

It'll be interesting to see what design they use for the replacement bridge. On design I heard that could be under consideration would be a cable-stayed bridge. It would get my vote as I think it's a beautiful looking bridge.

To avoid having pylons on the water you need to span about 1.6km.

Cable-stayed bridges can span about 1km. Suspension bridges (think Golden Gate) can span over 2km.

  5. While we still have the luxury of speculation, the following video makes some interesting points.

The video is painful to watch, you'll see why if you do, so I'll summarize the mail points.

Ships do have an emergency/auxiliary generator located in a separate compartment isolated from the engine room. Why? Because it powers the engine room fire fighting pumps. It also supplies electrical power for steering.

The propeller of a ship turns in a clockwise direction when viewed from the rear of the ship looking forward. As well as driving the ship forward there is a "paddle wheel" effect which pulls the stern to starboard and thus the bow to port.

When the ship is going astern the effect is reversed, the stern is pulled to port and the bow to starboard.

In the video of the incident, second video, approximately 4 seconds after electrical power is restored following the first power outage thick black smoke is seen coming from the exhaust. Speculation from the first video is that the ship was put into full reverse which would swing the bow to starboard which is what videos of the incident show.

Dumfries! You must have tried the national dish of scotland

    INGREDIENTS
    1  Mars bars
    1  cup plain flour
    1⁄2 cup cornflour
    1  pinch baking soda
     beer
     oil (for deep frying)

    DIRECTIONS
Chill the chocolate bar by keeping it in the fridge, but don't freeze it.
Mix the flours and bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) together.
Add beer (which gives a lighter until you get a batter with the consistency of thin cream.
Heat the oil until a small piece of bread will brown in a few seconds, but don't allow to smoke.
Remove wrapper (optional) from chilled chocolate bar.
    Coat completely in batter.
Carefully lower into hot oil and fry until golden brown.
Serve, with ice cream or french fries, if you're so inclined.

    1  cup plain flour
    1⁄2 cup cornflour
    1  pinch baking soda

Just use a tempura batter mix.

Flours with a high sugar content, potato starch, rice flour, tapioca flour, corn flour, give a crunchy batter rather than a chewy batter which a high gluten (wheat) flour gives.

     beer

Or soda water. Either way the liquid should be as cold as possible. Prevents activating the gluten. More crunch, less chew.

Don't work the batter too hard.
