Your answer demonstrates perfectly the attitude towards the gun problem !

    No it does not.
As I clearly posted, I side with Glasseye. To those who it cut out in cardboard and bend in neon lights.
I am 100% PRO a rewrite of the second amend, however, I am realistic and understand the process. That appears to be something that some will not or cannot understand, where those "some" want to live in a dream world.
Your post demonstrate perfect that you are oblivious to the process clearly in article five of the constitution.
As for San Francisco, the city is interfering with the federal government. DHS if the agency that determine whether a group is a terrorist group. That means there is NO light. The light you see is as good as flying pigs.
Keep dreaming, it obviously makes you happy and call me what you like. I will call you ignorant on this topic.

What else can the president do?

For starters I share your view in this regard, but I also respect the constitution. If one of the amends is ignored others can be as well. In that case we can soon own "one", eliminate freedom of expression,  forget about a speedy trail, etc.

If all states' legislative assemblies are by popular vote then in theory, then as little as 2.48% can decide whether. More realistic with states that will favor a change removed and going further down the list, in which case 3.23% can decide.
Skin the cat any way possible, the second amendment will not change in our life time.

Come on, its been amended many times anc anc be done.

    I know ... 27 times.
This proves my point that it can be done the way the constitution spell it out
The second amendment should take the same path.
Many still think that congress and/or the president can make the changes.
Obozo too was full of "thoughts and prayers". He had NO power.

Note sure why a Dane is so concerned about a country you were not born in.

    Is that a real question?
I have lived near 90% of my adult life here and should be ashamed if I was not concerned, I moved for a reason.
Perhaps you should ask that question of people who has never been here or not spent any appreciable time here, but have countless advice for the US despite the fact the do not understand the law which they advise against. For heaven sake it is a short read.
SO DO ask the may that have no interest in the US why they are so concerned!!!
I hope I have made it understood why I am concered.

We are just advisers, we give an advise only. Executing the solution is not part of the job.
But, Uncle Trump could sure tear it apart same as he did with the Trans Pacific Agreement, Iran agreement, Paris climate deal agreement, etc....
And just sack anybody who doesn't agree with him.....

I am not sure who you are advising.
It is obvious you have not read article V of the US constitution.
If you did you will soon find that from the bottom 15 of states by population only 2 are likely to ratify a change.
In other words 1.08% of the population is enough to block a change, equal to 75% of the several states

Why do you guys not come up with a solution as to how to change the Constitution , rather than just "pissing on it"  there is a written procedure as to how to change the Constitution within the Constitution itself.

I always find interesting, if not amusing, when laws pertaining to the US constitution bring to the front people from outside the US suggesting "just change the law".

As much as I commend your pro gun control view you shouldn't find it amusing that people from outside the USA have views of shock and horror when they see the constant tragedies of mass shootings.

We just live in a different world to yours and maybe we just can't understand how it can be in this day and age that we see in our news the horrors of what appear to be regular (it seems) occurrences of misuse of guns.

We all talk about what takes place in Thailand and what we would do to change things as if we have a right to show case what should be done, we believe we are right in our views and believe many suggested themes would improve the lot of the people and that of expats.  We Brits throw our views and observations at you but it doesn't mean we are right, it is just a view.

It is just common for people looking in, very often via media outlets, to be surprised as to what we may consider unacceptable behaviour and to have suggestions of betterment.

I think most members here are not laughing at what takes place although there are exceptions and those members should really refrain from making jokes and flippant comments about the serious incidents that have taken place.

I suppose most though do think that if there really was the desire to do something that would curb all these tragedies then why isn't it being done. There is nothing wrong with that view and I am sure it will continue as long as mass shootings take place.

I suppose we don't need to be bombarded with stats and graphs, we just believe that with the will of the people, Trump and Congress why is it that something isn't being done; for us it appears simple but then again our own politicians (in the UK) can't do what the the people asked of them 3 years ago.

Think we will be discussing this topic till all the forums have died off.

Either I did not express myself well or you misunderstood.
We both can agree on the shock and horror aspect of every such even, hence I made no comment addressing the event itself.
Like you I (presumably) am on the same wavelength as most Americans as well as most outside USA.
NO, I do NOT find any killing amusing. I do find the (thinking) indebt knowledge of the constitution amusing and this is where "right to bear arms" is written.
You mention Trump and congress and I said there is NOTHING they can do in rewriting the constitution, which is well documented in article V of the very document. It is a state matter.
Don't get side tracked in thinking it is a matter of a vote in congress or something where the president has a voice,
Again I was NOT laughing about this event not any other and also I mentioned that I personally am in favor of gun control.
I hope I expressed myself a little better this time.

  8. I always find interesting, if not amusing, when laws pertaining to the US constitution bring to the front people from outside the US suggesting "just change the law".
Headcount means nothing, electoral college means nothing and a president cannot sign an amendment in to law and not can he veto it.
How about a super majority in both legislative branches in the federal government (or by state convention) to even bring a constitutional amendment or repeal on the table.
The federal government cannot repeal, change of amend the constitution.
I takes 75% of the several states to ratify any change... again no headcount.
It certainly is possible to change the constitution, it is even possible to change it to headcount on a ballot for people to vote on is all it takes.
It is all outlined in article 5 of the constitution as to how it can be done.
    SIMPLE!

PS: I am pro gun control

BTW: it is heading the wrong direction.

I can teach you Denglish, however, it is easier if you start with a throat infection. Denglish is often referred to by Brits as a throat disorder. If you prefer the version however, you need not go have an infection of any kind you just need to get underwater and start speaking.

The tone of your answer, limit agressive, for after all a very simple subject ?

Ha, and the fact that you question my "confused"  click !

Back to your good old self. 555.
Are you offended by phrases such as "white in chicken shit" or "flying turd"?
If that is the case I wonder what you will make of me using the phrase "humping rectal cavity"

I was basically told that I failed, when I think I met the objective which was to show that HB could easily circumvent the watermarks.
The question is how much time is it worth.
Most of the images I showed were done in one or two passes using a tolerance of 30px and took less than a minute each. The panoramic took 60-70 passes with a 5px tolerance.
Interesting, however, that you can accept me being labeled loser for leaving an orange background a little darker in a low res picture, but you take offence to explaining what can and cannot be done.
What is "limit aggressive?" The best I can find is it to mean "curtailing aggressiveness."

Stewart - It was not my intention to become advasarial.  The photograph which I asked Mr DK to run through his software was always going to be a difficult one to remove the watermark.  It would not have been too difficult to remove it from the area over the sand, however the area of sea and boats would have been difficult.  In fact Mr DK either did not process this one or did not publish his results.

As far as the posted pictures, I would say the first photograph of the soup is OK as far as removing the watermark, however it does leave the orange background a little darker.  The watermark on the bacon sandwich photograph has been removed however there are very obvious distortions caused to the photograph.  The removal of the badge from the Secrets Lady wearing the dark jumper is in my view pretty poor as one can see an area of very dark and then dark stripes where the badge was located.  Reomoving the Secrets Logo from the white shirt on the lady is probably the best though it shows evidence of manipulation.  The last two photographs can be seen as clearly manipulated.

Thanks for trying anyway Mr DK.  I had wondered just how good the software was,  I dont think it is a case of winning or losing.

    Thanks.

Either I completely missed the purpose of the watermarks which would be "prevent" the likes of Harris Black from ripping the picture OR you are trying to pick the white out of the chicken shit.
Who the hell cares if the orange background is a little darker? Harris Black would not. Those visiting his Facebook page would not either. I challenge you to find a member of this board (besides yourself) who could give a flying turd.
If you want an output that is pristine you need and image that meet several criteria that the image you posted does not. Resolution is beyond poor (3-1,200 dpi). JPEG is piss poor for photo editing. RGB is not preferred and would not  be usable for professional printing ... for that you should use YMCK.
You cannot make something out of nothing

Hope the attached image meet your expectation ... I am sure it will not :)

@MrDK Could you run this one through the InPaint software that you have and see how it goes on removing the watermark on this picture, please.  You will have no copywright issues as it is my picture.  You will have to post it on Secrets forum - suggest the random pictures thread as if you post it on here the forum software will add the watermark again.

    Thanks.

    John

The image you provided for a watermark removal test is unreasonable because once the mask has been applied there is no donor nearby. Aside from that a low res panoramic image can only be good as a banner on a web page.

Below are some more realistic examples.

For the food images a gray band has been added so any new watermark that may be added will not go where the removed was.

Wishing you all the best of luck with those 7 ops sir.

If I get some fresh spare parts from the human salvage yard (Liver and Kidneys) and there are no rejections the all else is just a matter of time.

May I strongly recommend that you all sign up as an organ donor.
When you leave this place and get charred and/or six foot under you no longer need ANY of the parts and one body can save 4-8 lives.
Here is what you may have that can save others kidneys, heart, lungs, liver, small bowel, intestine, stomach and pancreas. Tissues that can be donated include eyes, heart valves, bone, skin, veins blood and tendons.
DO NOT think twice DO it.

    Thoughts with you DK.

I go in for an upper and lower on Tuesday. Not sure what the issues are but hope to learn more. I'm up with horrendous heartburn now. Definitely going to have to make some serious changes after this.

My mom had colon cancer and I had my first at 50 (I guess you are around 50).
I was told to come back in three years ... which I ignored.
Most often they will say 5-10 years.
As far I can read heartburn and upper intestine issues are not related as heartburn starts a "little north"

The above should not be viewed as medical advice. It relates only as far as my experience and what I have read.

Hers are a couple of pieces of advice:
If you are instructed to drink and poop four litters of fluid (there are two methods) and you are in the US, head for the store and get some Crystal Light Preach Mango ice tea mix. One package makes 2 liters, so use just one package for all four liters. Be VERY careful in what you select as, for example, Peach has red die and that is a no-no.
You will be fasting for around 12 hours and 24 hours before that only certain clear liquids, so after recovery you are likely to be hungry. I brought a lunch bag with two apples, two pears, two oranges, two hard boiled eggs and a liter of flavored soda water. It was all gone before they could get me out of the bed. 555. All this and I live just 0.8 miles from the hospital.
DO NOT worry at your age you they are not likely to find much, bit "nipping it in the bud" is a good think
