Hello, I am currently remodeling my bathroom in my bought condo in Thailand and could use some ideas and thoughts on what others have done or think may work best. Thailand - in the past, my bathroom was all ready/took it the way it came States - I usually had girlfriends help me do the remodel design ideas. So, my condo bathroom here in Thailand is small, not even large enough to be able to install a shower tub combo. I initially thought I would be able to buy the condo next door to mine and have a much larger second bathroom. The deal fell through and that is why I am stuck with a single small bathroom. SPACING : Small bathroom two Pillars in the way separate door to bedroom This is the current state of the bathroom. You can get a sense of the space available and what I have to work with. Initial bathroom space: Very Small No shelf space No door access to Bedroom Bathroom: after moving out the wall by about 1 meter Initially, I had an even smaller bathroom. I was able to extend the wall closer to the front door. This allows me more shelf space and door access to the bedroom. But in terms of gaining space for the toilet and walk-in shower, the extra additional space did not effect those areas... the length of the sink area did increase (so can add 2 separate sink basins) Hallway is to the right Bedroom to the left Bathroom is in the middle The shower is to the left of the toilet and the sink area will run along the wall on the right side of the bathroom MAIN CABINETS Keep in mind that I have a bottom support pillar in the middle of the sink structure Here are some options I am considering: which one do you like and why? (single open area box style) One option would be to have a single open area, with this one particularly have the open space up higher while leaving enough foot space down at the bottom This one has a larger single open space but starts more in the middle 2nd Set of options are more of a Single Shelf 3rd set of options are with closed drawers up on top The drawers above are all higher positioned. The slightly different ones pictured below utilize lower level drawers: Now, remember that I had the middle sink structure beam/pillar. Most of the options above utilize an uniform design. The ones listed below do not do that - more mix match. Sometimes drawers on the left or right side and shelf space only on one side ...other possibilities include Multiple shelves below the sink/basin: .Let me know what you think? what you did in your remodel? thxs - I'll add the other parts of the bathroom remodel in the next thread. .

I got my letter 🙂 ...it arrived in my in-box in less than an hour too tired to work on the Thai pass as it's almost 2am, will deal with that tomorrow

For those of you who have already gone through this process, with the hotel letter needed to attach to your Thai Pass application: How long did it take for you to receive your letter? thx

Ok, just got the invoice for the “Test and Go” package from the hotel. I paid using their link and it worked on the first try, lol. Now, wait on the letter. Then get onto - Thai Pass for the application process

...if I knew the ridiculousness and the hassle with hotels and trying to communicate with Thai hotel secretaries, I probably wouldn't have even considered this trip at this time. I've already gone too far, so no point in turning back now. Got the hotel booked, waiting on the invoice and payment information from my hotel to charge the "Test & Go" portion (this was after spending about 90 minutes back in forth to make sure the letter I receive from them has all the key highlighted points that are required based on the "Thai Pass" website) After payment: then will wait again for them to send me the letter ...I haven't even got to the application part of the - Thai Pass System btw, I went through about 50 hotels prior to getting this one booked. Also sorts of reasons, I could not book with the previous hotels I tried: - no website - no reply - missing requirements - not offering certain requirements - saying that shuttle service is based on availability on that given day - website not working - room unavailable - etc.... Started this portion of my booking after buying the insurance. I believed I started the hotel portion about 3pm and now is midnight, and just waiting for the hotel to send me the invoice and payment instructions.

Finally, found a hotel. with the close to booked hotel: I asked 5 questions and kept only getting 1 question answered per email reply, but finally got all 5 requirements covered …now waiting on the invoice and payment instructions.

That may be true and up until today when I saw this, I thought the same thing, you self test and whether you bother to provide the results....Up 2 U. But, then this is directly on the "Thai Pass" website

I tried and book a "Package" with the hotels that actually had a tab that stated "Package" either the calendar didn't go past March 31st or every time I clicked the date, it stated sold out or unavailable. ...Regardless, it was also safer to send an email prior to buying this so called package - as many of the hotels don't offer the day 5 kit. Also, some stated they could provide everything but the letter. ...two of the hotels, said they would do their best to make a shuttle available, but no guarantees until the day arrives.

Thai Pass - Official website - clearly states you need that ATK test for day 5. I tried to book a few hotels and they stated they don't offer day 5 kits Tried to book the link above - 3 of the hotels: this poped-up: so those were out of the question As stated above, neither of us could get the credit card to work, so tried the PromptPayQR code. Incorrect spelling based on Apps site, but assumed this was the app they were talking about using. The code doesn't work One of the hotels, said they don't offer day five kits (required on thai pass applicaion) Also, email stated they may not be able to guarantee shuttle service on day of arrival, but would do their best, lol

...at this point, not even caring the hotel or room, just trying to get approved on one of them.

3 hours later still trying to book: A. Initial booked on Expedia Then after confirmation of my SHA Plus booking, I had to book the shuttle and testing part. I contacted the hotel and they said they are full and can't provide that part. Cancelled booking B. Went to the site recommended above - payment tab don't work by both myself and my friend C. Bookings dot.com - went and booked another hotel. Still no Packages offered directly on the site. So, contacted hotel and told that they can do the shuttle, but not the testing, wtf!!! D. Went through the link on Thai Pass, for approved hotels and went through about a dozen hotels listed and for a number of reasons, couldn't book both the hotel part + shuttle/testing/atk test for day 5. There was always some issue with that part. ...this is getting ridiculous

ok, my friend and I both went onto the site, filled in all the information and when it was time to pay, it could never get approved. So, let's say I just book the hotel on : expedia, booking.com, agoda. How do you book the shuttle service and testing at hotel? And when I use the Thai Pass : will they only require booking confirmation/confirmation # or will they require a code And How do I prove that the shuttle service is added? HELP !!!

Once, you book, do they give you a confirmation # or is it a QR code from the hotel that you attach to your application to the "Thai Pass"?

...but you can't book this directly on "Thai Pass" , only input the attached QR Code ...so booking needs to occur elsewhere

...well, I saw hotel SHA Plus rates for 4 star hotels for $30-$50 on Expedia. A shuttle from BKK airport to Pattaya couldn't cover that cost...???

typically true about price does not matter as - also: gold plated, silver plated, wrapping etc are needless ways to charge more. With HDMI, it either it works or doesn't work. Now, in my situation, I need to run the cable through the ceiling and it needs to geared towards being stored up in the ceiling space and ok with paying more to have the feeling that it'll be ok. Also, don't want to deal with this in the future, so will try and future proof the cable

Flight ticket booked, now Anybody have suggestions on how to book a hotel room for 1 night in Pattaya for the 1 day quarantine + testing? - I don't want to stay in BKK When it says SHA Plus: does that not only means it's approved, BUT does that include the hotel shuttle service? and testing? I can't seem to get any information on expedia ... ...what's the easiest way to get the : hotel, shuttle service and testing done in 1 single price/package?

yup, that is what I mean. But, a few finer details: A. Since the Projector is in the ceiling behind you (12-15 feet behind you), you wouldn't necessarily want your DVD player either next to the projector (never seen someone do that) B. Nor would you want to have to run more than 1 HDMI cable in order to connect the DVD at the front/by the screen. (I explain more in detail below) *Let me Clarify the "plugging into HDMI vs Running HDMI cable" If you are connecting DVD, PS5, Android TV Box: in most situations, you can easily use a short HDMI cable to the devices. Due to wanting ease of use and access, you would want to have your devices either close to where you are seated or in front of where you are seated. Running HDMI cable - For projectors using a ceiling mount - most people will either run a long HDMI cable plugged into the Projector at one end and have the cable run along the top of the wall or inside the ceiling. It will travel a LONG distance from the back to the front. For typical 150 inch - 180 inch screen size, you will need approximately 12-15 feet of cable (ceiling run) + running from the top to bottom of the floor = need about 30 feet of cable. I didn't want to give options or detail things out earlier too much, as I was hoping to hear from other people as what they typically do when they need to run HDMI cables a long distance...without giving suggestions or just selection options listed. This whole HDMI cable thing has many choices, options and different thoughts and I wanted to hear from people as to what they think or did. HDMI: Your choices these days fall into 1. HDMI Standard (go buy a cheap one at TekCom, usually does the trick) (most times in regards to only HDMI, more expensive, doesn't necessarily translate into better) also including Gold plated, silver plated, mesh, 2. HDMI Standard CL3 3. HDMI Premium High Speed 4. HDMI Ultra High Speed 5. HDMI fiber optic 5b. HDMI Active 6. HDMI 2.1 *4k *8k Typically, when you use a HDMI cable 6 feet or less there are less issues with the information and speed as it travels from one end to the other. (btw, most people aren't even aware that HDMI cables have a 15% failure rate even right out of the box/new) When it comes to HDMI cable longer than 10 feet that is where issues arise. Some people feel that 6 feet is the maximum they would be willing to run using a standard HDMI cable. Others say that anything longer than 10 feet is where issues arise and need to go with a better HDMI cable 2-6 listed above. Now, majority of people are in agreement that running 15-30 feet or longer is an issue. This is what typically happens with Home Theatre Rooms /Projectors as we have to run at least at a minimum 1 cable at a long distance. I wanted to hear from people who are already running long HDMI cables, what they have used and how well it is working. And for those who never had to deal with this, what they would do if they had to make a decision. *Also, regarding running HDMI cables, there is no need to run a bunch of them for each and every device long distances. By using a box or av receiver, you can plug all devices that utilize an HDMI directly into say 1 single stereo receiver. *To make sure I do provide full details pertaining to your DVD example Yes, if you were utilizing a short-throw Projector, it would be positioned close to you/sitting area and could easily plug in a DVD player. Put even after all these years, very few people buy short-throw projectors as there are a few issues including costing quite a bit more. *# of HDMI ports - Also, most Projectors have very few HDMI ports (typically 1-2). If you have a DVD/Blu ray player, PS5, Amazon or equivalent streaming device, Android box, Speakers, etc... there just isn't enough ports to directly connect to the Projectors. Even so, let's say you bought a really expensive, top of the line commercial/business Projector and it came with 4 HDMI ports. Well, it wouldn't necessarily be smart to "RUN" 4 HDMI cables from the projector ...15-30 feet four times. You could accomplish the task with 1 single HDMI and use a central hub (ex. av Receiver) This is the same line of thought as why we use 'switches' from our routers instead of running each individual ethernet cable from the router all throughout the house to each and every room/device. So, what are my decisions I need to make and problems to avoid 1. what HDMI cable should I buy for Long Runs 2. what HDMI cable is best for today, but future proof it for tomorrow 3. what is the best way to run the least amount of cords 4. will I incur buffering, failure rate, lags 5. Speed etc.....

Need to run a 10m-15m HDMI cable from the projector in the back of the living room , up to the front screen. ...that's a long run, lots of different answers on this topic and just curious what people chose to do or would do

For when I run my HDMI cable from the Projector from one side of the room to the input box to the other side of the room - do you think I should go for a "Fiber Optic 2.0 or 2.1" cable? I don't believe the 2.1 won't matter for quite some time. I do hear that some people don't even think that fiber optics HDMI is even need at this point, that the 'standard' is fine as long as the cord states 4k

Now, either you or Steve own/running off a 4k TV? Someone told me that I need to buy/utilize a "Active - HDMI Cable" to be able to power enough bandwidth.. ...what type of HDMI cable are you both using if you have a 4k tv?
