  1. No they should not...have a look at the question that was asked above... who enforces the law for underage customers who tries to buy drinks. All the publican/mine host/owner can do is say no. If they refuse to leave then the police are called The license/their staff can refuse service...they cannot issue fines... enforce the law. I am an Aussie... same there ...they can refuse service...ask them to leave....if they do not...who do you think they call...the Police. cheers
  2. I have worked it out...it is clear to see that the Govt wants business owners and their staff to be a proxy police force and if they do not...they will be penalised with fines and even to the extent that they will forcible close the business. If the Govt wants these laws enforced...then it is the police job...not business owners...and if need be...then give the police the required resources to carry out the job. Any fines from this farce is revenue raised for the Govt,,,,does not matter if it is one business...two....three....ten....100...etc...etc... it is revenue raising for the Govt. cheers
  3. It is a revenue raiser as the Govt can fine owners/staff for not doing the police job...simple. Well if the Police are doing their job...then why has the owner had his restaurant forcibly closed?? If they find customers who should not be there...by all means penalise them not the owners/staff as they have no control over them and the owner/staff jobs are not to enforce laws...... that is what the police are for. Yes..it is really that simple...let everyone do the job they are employed to do. cheers
  4. Small business has taken another hit .....this is an extra cost put on them for no reason at all...... all it is is a cheap way for Govts for others to become a free "proxy"police force and if they do not adhere....just a revenue raiser from the very ones who cannot afford it. It is the police's job to enforce the law..... not a waiter...a waitress...a chef...a train driver...a taxi driver.... a busker.....etc..etc.....it is the police job.... and if the Govt wants these laws enforced...well give the police the facilities to do so..be it more equipment or manpower. instead of putting it on "joe" public to carry out their job under the threat of harsh penalties...... oh gee...has sounds of a dictatorship there. You keep those blinkers on...just keep going along and jumping to whatever the Govt says with your yes sir three bags full sir Mr Govt. I reckon your next original thought will be your first one...555. cheers
  5. The police have taken away a Swiss owners livelyhood and the staff livelyhood because they have refuse to do the police job. As said before....the owner and the staff are not employed to be the police. Simple solution..... get the police to do a check of patrons when open or get the Govt to pay for an extra trained security guy to check patrons. The cost/responsibility should not be passed onto the owner/staff. cheers
  6. On smoking...the restaurant will have no smoking signs and will ask patrons to adhere to it. If a patron refuses then the police are called to enforce the law....the owner...waiter/waitress...chef....cleaner does not enforce the law if a patron does not follow the directions. As you brought the smoking example into it...then the same as who enforces the law for vaccinated/unvaccinated who can dine there...the Police are the ones who enforce the law if no one complies...that is what they are paid to do...that is their job. Again it is not the job of the restaurant owner...waiter/waitress...chef...cleaner to enforce the law...it is the Police. cheers
  7. What is the matter.... you go on and put across a post with verbiage ..I take to the time to reply to your post... but it seems when people reply in the style you do it is wrong...555. I have answered you.... my opinion/view is the same in that fforest point is correct. cheers
  8. I am comfortable already thanks...I have a cement table...555. Restaurant owners are what it says they are.....restaurant owners. They and their staff are not the covid police.... it is not their job to police who have been vaccinated or not. A waitress/waiter goes to work to do that job they are employed for...wait on customers...the chef goes to work to cook for the customers...not to to be a proxy policeman/woman. If the Govt wants them to do so...then pay them...either with a cash incentive or tax breaks...give them a payment/incentive to put extra staff on to police the fact....etc..whatever. It easy for the Govt to say to these business people that you police this or else. If you do not you will be fined or we will close your business and take away your livelyhood just because we can. We are talking more than the owner here being effected.... we are talking employees and their families...suppliers to the restaurants....etc.... so why should these business establishments take on an extra cost/duty that should be done by the Govt and face forced closure all over something that is not in the business and employees job description??? It is another overkill by the ineptness of the overall situation by many Govts and in this particular incidence...by the Swiss Govt. cheers
  9. Well not entirely true....for Govts to change/introduce a law/laws to purposely be able to discriminate/control against some of their population is dictatorship.... like it or not. cheers
  10. Again with the "if". We are talking about fforest's statement on what he said about the blocks being placed in front of the business.... and it seems he called it correctly. cheers
  11. Well if the authorities ordered the police to put the blocks there to stop an owner from opening his business then fforest called it correctly. cheers
  12. Why are you dodging the question?? cheers
  13. So you are saying that the cement blocks were never put in place by the Police and the photo is actually photo shopped?? cheers
  14. The question again.... Is the situation/photo false?? cheers
  15. Dear oh dear oh dear...baa...baa ...baa.
  16. Is the situation/photo false?? If not your point is mute. cheers
  17. A good example of why some are sitting back and saying the ones who are pushing the pandemic agenda are nothing but hypocrites. cheers
  18. As can be seen by the majority of posts on the topic ..... the ones who are continually playing with facts, figures and reality is posters like you as you have done again here. cheers
  19. Why?? If he does not want to there really is no need to. cheers
  20. Not entirely true...... many people have had the virus and have recovered..... just look at what happened before vaccines were available. Since vaccines...both vaccinated and unvaccinated have got the virus...some of both have passed away..... most have recovered fully ..and some of both have ongoing issues. cheers
  21. Err.... @fforestpoint was that vaccinated people can also spread the delta variant as well as the unvaccinated. cheers
  22. Mate I have always respected your opinion but parents should have a say of what medication is given to their children.... not politicians/ public service people. By all means take advice from their medical person, As to the signs... I understand with some of them...Govts are there to represent the people ...they are not there to rule the people...that has been gone missing with a fair few Govts. To the last sign you stated.... has any Govt given a guarantee that there will be no harm to children long time??? Blokes like you and me.. and most others on this board... unlike children who are going up the hill of life...we are coming down the other side.... so I reckon the parents of those children have a point and deserve to express their opinion ..even if others disagree with it cheers
  23. So you have got nothing. I am happy to offer up a link.... but as said...practice what you preach. What is the problem??? If you are so sure of your self...add the links. cheers
