This is becoming ridiculous I'm sure it's not their fault with all of the red tape involved but  when asked during this video by Dean if he has a new date he said he hopes next week. I will make book that doesn't happen. Everyday that goes by these investors are losing money. I guess they're hoping for a big Songkran week holiday. And there's still not completely sold out. Reminds me of the Hall of Fame beer bar complex behind the new made in Thailand complex. It's been open a while and they still have at least three but maybe as many as five of those beer bars empty and available still. I have reminded him High season it's really over and it's a long low season.

Clearly dean needs to sell more shares. I know a guy in PP that could help.

id often eat there 10 years ago 😅,its all about value, never set foot in hooters pattaya, only the one in bkk soi4 for a beer, just to watch the street as ye do 😍.

Isn't that a strange phenomenon on Soi 4? Punters spend 1000s to fly half way around the world to stare at each other across a 4 - 5 meter wide street. Wait until greta finds out.

I used to stop in at that Hooters but after the 2nd visit I figured out it was cheaper to sit over at Stumble Inn and the others on that side and stare at the Hooters fans. Service staff at Stumble Inn will endure the arduous trek over Soi 4 to Hooters for you if you just have to have their wings.

It is interesting how most Pattaya Vloggers have changed their tune over the years ..

10 years ago it was all sneering "This is where cheap charlie broke expats eat" to "You should try this place for real Thai food, cheap and delicious" .....

It may be a consequence of YT reducing their payments. That might have a welcome weeding out process and result in survivors reducing expenses. There seems to be far fewer 'meetups' for Pattaya Vloggers. Guess there is a limit to how many videos people can watch of look at me assholes.

Just to add a kind of disclaimer, as my post probably sounds a bit lame but is relevant only to the last 8 years or so, and probably connected to having a young daughter who has put a different slant on things.

I first hit the bars in 1987 and I had loads of money as I was working in SE Asia. I remember my first bar fine, I was staying in the Tawana Ramada near Patpong. I tried to leave my room 2 times but returned as my knees were trembling, I was scared at what I was told was the deal. Once out the door, I did arrive at my first bar, went through the heavy blue velvet curtain of Superstar bar and I was smitten. Just took the first girl I saw as I walked into the place.

Bar fining and the girly scene has probably taken a heavy toll on my finances, I would be far richer now than I actually am.

Think a lot of younger guys think the older generation are that fat balder bunch of oldies they like to laugh at. Truth is, most of us have the t-shirt and will probably have had more girl liaisons than those who laugh at us, the quality would have been better too mostly.

In 1988 I went to live in Sabang, Puerta Galera, Philippines. I arrived on 01 October and by the end of the month I had had 31 different girls.

I can no longer maintain that ability but my history of companions isn't really anything I have many photos of and is mainly in the memory cells. Unlike @Yessongs, I have never taken a photo of a girl in my bedroom, I have had photos of girls outside the boudoir, but most have been destroyed by me or past companions. I just won't take the risk of having photos posted on a forum (or stories of liaisons) as they may be used by 'white knights' to ruin what I have going presently. That happened once on another Pattaya based forum and my marriage suffered because of it.

I am kind of happy I am not bar fining anymore, I just don't think there is real value in it. Back in the day, it was worth bar fining in most bars or go gos, we were spoilt for choice. I am 68, and you would think that I might aim a little bit lower if considering a bar fine. Thing is, I am usually disappointed at what is on offer and the prices seem too high for what would be offered to me.

Still enjoy the scene, both in Thailand and the Philippines but it looks to me that most of those considered a top shelf girl are on social media rather than shaking their booties in a club. From what some say here there are a few clubs on WS that do have a fair share of top shelf girls but it isn't like it used to be.

I will stick to my cup of tea and Oreos with maybe a massage thrown in for good measure.

I'm similar. I think we of a certain age (to be polite) far prefer good meals and real conversations these days to actual naughty participation but we still enjoy a good look and like to read about others as it sparks our memories.

Thanks, but I still had to Google "fly".

What with slang and an ever increasing use of acronyms, I'm finding it more and more difficult to understand comments written here and elsewhere. Am I alone in this?

Maybe, but that hip hop term meaning cool or hip has been around for decades, since the 90s at least.

If you're asking about cool or hip, it's going to take more than google and its AI program Gemini which thinks George Washington was black.

All great answers and experiences, but as usual, I have to ruin the party I guess. Back in the day, I just got that buzz out of visiting various go go's,  especially the one's in Bangkok. I just DID NOT mind paying a bar fine at all. I looked at it like pretty much Thailand was my choice of destination for the last 10 years of my being a single guy. I knew the party could not last for ever, so I was NOT going to let anyone ruin it for me you know?  I rarely took any gals ST, it was LT or I just did not take them.  I do remember too that as a general rule, the bar fines were very reasonable back in the day. I was the classic 2 week Millionaire...loved every minute of it. No regrets for sure. Spent some " dosh" foolishly, but who cares?

In today's world like Horizondave, I am happy to entertain friends who come here, have several coming back in June, buying LD's for a few gals and chatting it up with them...perhaps a few Thermae gals to take for a few hours  for the evening for drinks and music might be on tap this summer...we'll see.

Struggling to deal with my life currently.

It’s losing my sister Jan, it’s really made me feel so alone and broken. You don’t realise how losing your loved one’s affects you until they are not there.

She wasn’t just my sister, she was my best friend as well.

I don’t know, I’m probably just needing my counsellor, I will be speaking to her Friday, then I speak to my psychiatrist on the 29th.

So hopefully I can get myself together.

You've done well keeping your demons in check. Perhaps time to consider a trip to Pattaya.

It's not like staying there is Blighty is doing much for you and you're not alone, just google Youtube and Steady Eddie.

I doubt there is much you can do in the UK that you cannot do in Pattaya and there is much more on offer in Pattaya than the UK.

You just gotta LOVE the drummer in this clip ..

Lol, yeah that drummer either knows the best joke around or he knows where she's gone.

For me, this performance is the definition of cool 70s live performances, back in the day when music was made by musicians. It's almost like Withers is oozing cool instead of sweat.

As you will expect,  I love travelling around and exploring new places and meeting new ladies.

I treat the day of travel as a loss, but often arrange a visitor on arrival to help me settle in and try to be tolerant of assholes.

Usually I down load something of interest to watch which makes the day go quicker.

    Long may it last.

I dunno, but I think you like packing best.

I enjoy travelling but I now enjoy being in places for longer  , on this trip I did ten days in Patts and now currently two weeks in Samui  ... that said I do find I'm getting more easily pissed off ...

inconsiderate / rude people top the list , whether it's people reserving sun beds by leaving objects on them and then fcuking off for hours , people not acknowledging you when you step aside to let them through on a small pavement or you keep open a door for them .. and my top hate cnuts watching videos on their phones and not using ear buds , in restaurants/ by the pool / airport waiting lounges

Maybe I should have posted in the rant threads ...555

True, one of my pet peeves, people hijacking threads going on rants ... wait a minute.

Spending $7million on a SuperBowl advert or helping the needy ...  the churches obviously have too much money , tax them

Many people tend to think of richest person in the world as someone like Musk, Bezos, etc.

I think that If it's not Putin then it might be the Pope, at least the Catholic church any way.
