I enjoy my mornings at the gym, do a minimum 45 minutes on the treadmill fast walking. Just helps me switch off and listen my music. Forget about the other shit in my head.
Yep, same, gym helps me more mentally than physically.
So does diving, and also recently discovered so does the calm, silence and peacefulness of the snowy wilderness.
You can just switch off, get a reset. You should try stuff like that Gal, I'd wager it would help you like it helps me.

It's our first night in Ao Nang, and we always go to this Thai place called 'Family' as it's Family run. It's up a wee alley of the main drag, but is aways packed as it's tremendous, and so cheap.
I just had this pineapple rice, 70 Baht. And fried fish in chilli and garlic, 180 Baht.
So 250Baht, and it was fucking lovely.
Get free watermelon etc as well.

Doing my feel good thing I do each trip.
I give all the family young children 1000 baht each. Only 7 kids here this trip so got off lightly.
You're a good man, Groggy 🙏

I've turned into a Leicester City fan.
The owner of Leicester City, who is also the owner of King Power, and this hotel, after his father died in the horrific helicopter crash, Is coming to the hotel bar area to cheer on the team at 7.30pm Thai time.
Loads of security, as you can imagine, but I've been told they will try to fit me in at the back if it's possible.
I think told them I was a personal friend of @Derek Dangleberries and @john luke, and they took a sharp intake of breath, mumbled something about Leeds scum, and nearly had be arrested. Suffice to say my invite was rescinded due to top of the table drama.
Can't help but think their 'Road back to the Premiership' slogans might be a tad premature.
But anyway, i expect to see some pretty heavy security about the hotel lobby tonight.
C'mon the Siamese Foxes!

Wishing I was single.
The missus is paranoid about security and keeps the door locked for the room we are staying at in her mum's place. Both keys for the lock are on the same keyring and what does she do but lock the keys in the room. The niece's husband and myself have spent the last hour unbolting the security grill on the external window. We just got it open enough so he could slide through and open the door. The missus made the mistake of thinking it was funny. I don't think she realised how pissed off I was.All good now until the next misadventure occurs.
I feel copious amounts of alcohol will required to get over this trauma, Groggy

I remember posting on a different thread about how some lose weight in Thailand, but I put it on, even though apart from coffee cake, I don't really eat sweet stuff.
I put it down to the many crazy crisp flavours, I love crisps. I mean fried squid eggs ffs, it's hardly Tudor pickled onion 😆
I just bought a small box/tube of spicy garlic prawn pringles.

May try that next time (likely summer '25) but Kataleya will be 10 by then. Must admit I will probably be kissing the floor that I am in Thailand, so if we don't get ushered (even if after asking), I will still have a smile on my face.
I am sure you are really happy to be in the LOS, well envious....
Even happier to be here, checked into hotel, all luggage, and no drama!
At the usual Pullman King Power, a little bit more expensive than we normally do, but wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bangkok. Class hotel with hug pool. Caitlin had her own bed for only 1000 Baht per night.
