Ah you might want to check out soi 51 aswell then,it's a good soi with many different restaurants and a good sushi place too, true enough you don't get many falang down that end as ye know most eat or drink from 102 to 88.

Thanks I have started to explore around as far down as Soi 51 but more by walking down the Naebkedhardt Road.

Found a decent little coffee shop(Mug cafe, I'm an idiot that is on Soi 51, google tells me😜), and a thai craft beer place(Three Dots and a Dash, expensive but fascinating Thai place), and a load of restaurants I want to try. Like Sushi so will definately give that a go.

If Bangkok pharmacy try to rip you,try a pharmacy on petchakesem Rd opposite from soi ,47 or 45, you'll see some food carts outside at the 7,11 on the corner, used this pharmacy a few times throughout the years.

That's interesting thanks, that's a part of town I've only just started to explore to will track that down.

Looking on Google maps there is a well reviewed Pharmacy in the area you are describing called Punya Pharmacy1. I'll get myself down there and give it a try.

Thanks, when I try  on the Fascino website all I get is an article on the atorvastation. Guess it's the case of trying your local branch.

The one in North Pattaya is excellent I remember, in HH isn't but I can only ask.

I'm vary of using this online pharmacies that I've never heard over. But happy to give Bangkok Pharmacy a go as see you've used it in the past.

  4. @forcebwithu I've resurrected this thread of yours as need some help please, and this thread seems more approrpriate than the generic health thread.

I was diagnosed with high cholestoral in the UK and prescribed 40 mg of Lipitor, which as I understand in the brand name for Atorvastation.

The price of this in Thailand seems to be around 2K baht for a box of 30!!!! There surely has to be a cheap generic alternative?

If you or any other Thailand based BM knows the generic alternative and can suggest a supplier that would be very much appreaciated

    HH or Bangkok ?

I revisited  Warm Welcome,  Soi 33 BKK  to try something else as I was so impressed with yesterday's visit- wasn't disappointed. Tiny place three tables inside, 2 outside but I'm forming the impression that whilst they only offer a small range, everything they do is excellent.

@Lemondropkid Hey LDK, this gal at the gym and I were just talking about this subject a few weeks back. She tells me that you really need someone in a "one on one" situation to really learn. She was asking me about how I was doing learning? I told her I struggle, and she also told me and my wife told me the same, that is NOT to try to learn Thai using English characters. I find You Tube videos to help me. I can run and re-run them and I do. Wifey tells me that she is convinced I could learn to be fluent, as what I do speak, I speak well she tells me.

This gal "Fa" told me she worked with a guy from Germany that lives in her neighborhood for 2 years. He is married to a Thai gal. He would come over every Sat for 2 hours, she would give him assignments to work on during the week that his wife helped him with and he now speaks, reads and writes fluently. She showed me a video of him, I am impressed. Fa speaks perfect English, has a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and works as a Design Engineer at a company called "Control Logic" here. She is nice to look at too. If you ever re-locate here, she might be able to help you??

    Hey Yessongs

This gym of yours seems to throw up an unending stream of gorgeous women 😍

I'm coincidentally heading north up to Bangkok now. Have told the driver to forget Sukhumvit,  and head straight for Khun Yessongs gym!!

Enough of lovely quiet Hua Hin, BKK suburbs here I come

A free online course is https://lingopolo.org/thai/

    Worth a look as well.

Thanks I stumbled across that one yesterday,  I will explore it.

Am starting with the numbers on Thaipod 101 on YT.

Like the way they teach, get you to think about giving your Phone number in Thai or the numbers in the bank queue.

Just watching one video a couple of times through,  realised I need a blank exercise book to take notes. Its how I learn

The link you shared like to do puzzles,  another good way to hopefully keep it fun.
