A yellow porsche carrera went past us like a rocket. 10 minutes later there it was at the side of the road having been pulled at a police check point and the driver no doubt arguing that the BiB could not possibly know he was doing 200 kph. :default_biggrin:

They do have hand help speed guns although not real accurate... Last time they got me they said I was doing 195km/h but I glanced at my speedo when I saw old matey with the camera and my speedo was reading 225.

  3. They tend to all stick to a limited area, if you avoid that zone, you avoid them.
Last week, speaking with a decent Aussie (even spoke real English) his words were "dont judge Australia because of them, even we dont like them and they wouldn't dare behave in Australia like they do here"

That decent aussie is correct... act like that at home and would get sat on their arse pretty damn quick.

^Yes I know it makes you look like a dickhead but have you ever been attacked by a Magpie? It's bloody painful, and you are not allowed to carry a stick or anything to whack them with.

I often just put my sunnies on the back of my head.

This the  1st magpie related death?

He don't do corners judging by those fat old chicken strips.

Given thats the development bike (I'd hate to think how much it has cost) they prolly dont wanna bin it.

Am friends with one of the Thai engineers that was working on the project and I believe it is on hold for now (he no longer works there).

I was looking at this thinking those eggs were a broken bread roll. Looks disgusting (earlier one looked amazing but needed black pudding for a perfect 10/10).

Anyway uncooked mushrooms and half , yes half a tomato, anaemic hash brown, tiny portion of beans and look at that water and scum on the bacon worst bit ..... send it back Boyds.

    Powdered eggs I reckon.

But yeah, pretty ordinary plate of grub.

no you are wrong, its not.  (1)  its done for a good reason, i wont bore you with the legalities and (2) you cannot not py what an employee is entitled to.  the dept of works will see to that and they help them for free.  thaiand is v strict on severance payments being paid based on time served.

Guess we agree to disagree then and leave it at that.

asking a staff member who isnt wanted any more, for whatever reason, to resign is SOP in Thailand from big to small companies.  the employee still gets their payoff and thats quite a chunk based on time served.  same as redundancy payment.  in the case of a bad employee the choice is theirs.. quit or be fired.  a company cant asksomeone to resign and then not settle thier rightful claim to money thats illegal

If they are paying the severance payouts why make them resign ?

It would depend where burden of proof lays when one party alleges duress.  Different jurisdictions have different rules; in some the person alleging merely has to raise the issue and the burden then falls on the other side to disprove it.  Others the party alleging must prove on balance of probabilities.

In Thailand or the UK ?

I do not know or understand how Thai law works, but in UK that would be unlawful and lead to employment tribunal.  A lot depends on how accessible Thai law is to the staff.

    @Yesitisdakid Any idea?

Labour dept is very approachable and is very pro employee.

They signed a resignation letter though so no leg to stand on unless they can prove they were forced to sign.
