  8. Australia 5 / 204 Travis Head just went for 101. I was worried when it was 3 / 12, but a couple of good innings and there is an almost respectable score on a wicket the poms should be able to do more with.

  11. Yes there is the same issues. For example, after the English go home, the Aussies are off to Pakistan for a tour, I'm sure there will another that will be another tour carefully planned around the IPL, there was some talk about a West Indies tour. Each tour usually has T20 and one day matches, many of the same people are in each of those teams.
  12. Well that was an exciting non result. The Poms held out for a draw. The Aussies were relying on Steve Smith's bowling rather than his batting to win a match. The last 4 or 5 overs were very entertaining. Was interesting watching Stokes hiding his head in his arms trying not to watch the last few balls.
  13. The commentators were talking about how that 46 was twice the highest first wicket score when Hameed holed out for 9 after being dropped earlier. England 1 / 46
  14. Hey, both openers are still in, getting close to their best scores of the tour. Hameed is in danger of getting to double figures. Lets see what tomorrow brings, if it is a barrage of blocking expect some fiery bowling.
  15. Khawaja got another century, the Aussie selectors now have a major headache for the next test. Australia declares at 6 / 265 leaving the poms needing 388 to win.
  16. England all out for294, extras at 20 was the 4th best scorer. Australia in lead by only 122, Bairstow's 113 helped a lot there
  17. Bairstow gets a century in the last over of the day, a well deserved milestone. Bairstow finishes the day with 103. England 7 / 258 end of the day, did not think they would make anywhere near that score earlier in the day.
  18. Lunch England 4 / 36 Scott Boland 4 overs 2 wickets for 0. The poms have not scored a run for over 54 balls and have lost 3 wickets in the process.
  19. Looks like the rain might save the poms, they need a further 403 runs to match the Aussie first innings. Will they need two innings to pass total again?
  20. Tea on day 2 Australia 6 / 321 Khawaja 102, Aussie selectors now have a major headache.
  21. Australia 6 / 285 Khawaja is giving the Aussie selectors another headache, not out at 81.
  22. Aussies chose to bat. Australia 2/ 113 There is chance of a draw if the weather steps in again, there have been several delays from rain.
  23. This makes the bowlers the third best scores for the calendar year..
  24. If you look at the totals for the calendar year, extras are there too, 3rd or 4th. Root did very well for the year, then the drop off is dramatic, should have heard Botham cough and splutter when the Aussie commentators pulled the numbers up.
  25. The Poms did not get the Aussie total. All out for 68, got to be a record, or very close. Boland getting 6 wickets for 7 runs on debut helped.
