    Hi there again. Sorry I haven’t posted for a while but I’ve been so busy turning the business into a temporary restaurant and setting up a food delivery service!! Hope you are all doing ok wherever you are. I genuinely can’t wait to see you all when you come back. If you are in Pattaya, I am posting some pictures of the food we are selling for takeout and delivery. I refuse to close and give up and if I only sell one coffee a day that’s “up yours” to COVID-19.     I’ve had Denge twice now. I’ve been told that it has already effected my organs and, ironically, I had a heart attack this year. I have been told that a third case could be fatal. I do my best to stay away from mosquitoes.

    Dave always delivered with the chocolate, tea bags and many more goodies. His dear wife Pla just gave me 4 bottles of HP sauce from his private collection

    Couple of new dishes. British style chili con carne and a Indian starter snack, Starwood’s popadoms with mango chutney and mint yogurt.

    Just an update on Dave Barwise. He went to hospital on Monday a week ago because he had terrible water retention throughout his body. The hospital drained 4 liters of fluid. Tests at the hospital revealed he had severe diabetes which had never been treated along with severe cirrhosis. Dave being Dave, he checked himself out of the hospital, only to return on Thursday. I spoke my last conversation with him there and although he was unable to open his eyes as he was so tired, he told me he was checking himself out. I managed to persuade him to stay. Pretty soon after his body developed sepsis which spread to his legs really quickly. He had a heart attack on Friday at 1:00am and then I had the horrible task of phoning his parents to tell them that Dave probably wouldn’t make it. He had a second heart attack at 12:35pm on Friday which was fatal. As he lay dying I played his favorite song “I Predict A Riot” and after I changed him into his favorite Leeds United shirt. I went to the Police Hospital in Bangkok yesterday to identify his body and release it for cremation which will be Saturday at 1:00pm at Wat Nong O near to the Big C Xtra. Pla is absolutely devastated. Devoted to her husband, I have never seen such a strong bond for a husband from a Thai lady. Condolenses to his parents Dennis and Margret and his brothers Anthony and Martin. Had he stayed in hospital on Monday I’m sure he would be alive now. He had severe diabetes but it would be under control. He had money to pay the hospital. I’m not sure what he was thinking and never will.

    Yes, it’s the way my Mum made them. Only difference is she put a lot of pepper in the oil but I don’t. Keep the oil clean.

    Yes, we cook them from potatoes, triple cooked. Crisp on the outside, fluffy in the middle.

    Has anybody mentioned that Heavens Above original location on soi Diamond has been bought by an Australian who has refurbished it. He’s kept the name Heaven which has, quite rightly, upset the old owners.

    The “artists reconstruction 0 of Walking Street has received a lot of flak from the Thais. It was knocked up with some dodgy software by the electricity company. It won’t look anything like that. From 1st July work has been progressing a lot quicker. First building wells , then they will begin threading the electric cables and comms. Completion date of 1st February 22 looks unlikely, but it will look nice.

    The plant is only grown by Licencee growers, who have to give all the THC stuff to hospitals or for medical research. The rest is sold for consumption. You need to display an official receipt from a supplier to be able to sell it. I sampled a few tea shops for a video. Nothing in it .

    Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. 15 months of disruption but the bar is still open, albeit as a restaurant and unable to sell alcohol. We open at midday and close at 7:00pm every day. There have been some good days but generally just opening up for my own mental health and that of the girls and happy to stick two fingers up to Covid-19. Many thanks to John Luke for posting a few pictures. I have some of the food that we currently sell and a picture of the new menu. My health is up and down, some day feel good, some days not so. Please don’t tell me to take it easy, it’s never going to happen. I have changed my diet, lost weight and urge myself to loose more every day. Hooe to see you all soon.
