Last breakfast in Nong Khai.

It is 40 degrees celsius in Nong Khai and I am sweating in places where sweating shouldn’t be allowed. In other words my arse crack resembles Niagara Falls at the moment.

Dinner at Daeng’s in Nong Khai.

Breakfast is sorted for tomorrow.

One of the 4 bars is open today.

The things I do to keep the peace. Sitting in the water on plastic chairs under a bamboo shack having little fish nibble on my feet is not as exciting as it sounds.

Breakfast in a tin cup style place in Nong Khai. The family seem to like it which is the main thing.

The Irish bar is where I had a couple of quiet beers today. None of the 4 bars in the street behind the Irish bar were open today and it looks like only one may still be operating.

Checked into our hotel in Nong Khai for the next 3 nights. I think one BM knows where we are at, as I think he may have stayed in the same room.

Heading to Nong Khai today for 3 nights. Any recommendations for somewhere to have a few quiet beers in the afternoon?

Almost making me want to leave Udon Thani a day early and head down for the grand opening.

Tonight the missus made me a black sausage, baked bean and rice dish. It might not look the best but tastes great.

Just finished putting in a couple of lights in at the mother-in-law's house. The one in the outside kitchen was permenantly wired in and the one in the entertainment area is connect via a powerboard with a 10 metre lead. The one in the entertainment area she didn't to be on all the time with the other lights so I took the easy option of using a powerboard with a switched outlet instead of running a complete new lighting circuit.

Dinner at the Brick House. I tried ordering dessert at the same time but the waitress said wait as she didn’t think I could do dessert as well. She was correct.

Doing my feel good thing I do each trip. I give all the family young children 1000 baht each. Only 7 kids here this trip so got off lightly.

From memory Greg’s kitchen moved over to the darkside just off Soi Nern Plab Wan not far from our house.

4 cans of Leo settled me down.

No I haven’t. Last night it was pork loin but the chilli con carne took my fancy.

It seems to be a half way house for half the village. A lot of people of all ages visiting that I have no idea who they are.
