Baht strenghening against the Dollar top left on one side of the currency pairing is not helping us and on the other side Sterling/Dollar back in the doldrums again. May seems pretty confident her deal later today to be announced ahead of the meaningful vote will this time be voted through in Parliament. My opinion is also that it will. Sterling will rise somewhat against the Greenback if it indeed it is probably up to $1.35 initially

The days of Oman being a little boutique airline to Bangkok are long gone. Both sectors not a spare seat to be seen and as I boarded last both sectors I could see Biz was rammed as well. Trouble for me they switched their roomy A330s on both sectors to Dreamliners with a big drop in seat pitch. Unimpressed with food (and normally dont give a monkeys) staff are surly and sod me they had all Russian flight crew bar one lead Omani as CSD on Muscat London sector (they recently introduced Moscow service) They have expanded so much with new routes that the feeder flights to Muscat are heaving

Possible whilst in Muscat but am only Silver. Bound to be some Gold in Economy on that sector that'll likely go up on priority

Fortunately I've got 3 screen grabs of their website error Just how fxxxxxx difficult can it to be to change a seat assignment on the trumpet. Two calls to ticketing and reservation in Bangkok 1 call to airport office and one call back to Oman global in London. All waffling "cannot" have to wait to check in Emailed them politely in Bangkok and got back "seat assignment cannot be changed due to airport check in process" I'm thinking WTF is the matter with this crew. Am currently in 44k on their Dreamliner with their shight 31" seat pitch, the back row in a window seat which doesnt recline because its the final row lol. Last ever trip with these tossers bin the Silver card just not worth the hassle

Yes it is but Oman had so many complaints they were "supposed" to be dealing with it last October. Its a farcical situation. The issue now is I cant go back into the system around 5pm local time tonight to change the 2nd sector because you need to click on "check in confirmed" to actually verify the first. At the moment I'm in window seat and thats not happening lol. 8 hours I will be stood at the back. Will speak nicely at check in

I'm seriously going to put a rocket up Omans arse when I get home. Despite 3 emails telling me previously that they had changed their website to allow both seat assignments for both sectors from 48 hours from wheels up yet again they havent done it Managed to change first sector to aisle FOC but again cannot change 2nd sector from a window seat without paying. To ensure that at least the first sector is confirmed with seat you need to click on "check in confirmed" I had a heated but polite discussion with station manager in Bangkok in December who promised it was a glitch and was being put right. Exactly the same issue on flights out here in first place. Absolute joke. I'm Silver so will check in at business and speak "nicely" to change it lol

I voted out but not for the shambolic mess we are currently in. My view is a deal will be concluded this month and if it isnt than certainly within a 3 month extension. Once that deal gets concluded you'll see a big surge in Sterling almost certainly to $1.40 over the following 48 hours. Lot of forex traders I know concerned with being caught short on Sterling and it sky rocketing

fair to say that if we go for a 3 month extension than no deal is 100% off the table

Yep correct no landing fee with Transferwise with full interbank rates (I got 42.02 this morning) but there is a rising level of sending fees as amount sent increases. For smaller sums its simply unbeatable

Cracking week for both Sterling and the Greenback. Clear shift to selling the Baht on Fx markets BOT sold it right out to 31.81 interbank which even with Sterling dipping against the Dollar Friday pushed Sterling/Baht to 42.02 interbank for weekend Have just sent couple thousand via Transferwise to lock it in at 42.02 and if goes to 44 over coming weeks which is highly likely should a brexit deal be concluded will pound cost average and take the 43 evened out

41.82 up Soi 3 TT 8th day running and can be no doubt now that BOT are intervening in the strong Baht situation and selling on Forex markets. Dollar/Baht now right out to 31.63 interbank....all the way to 33 please BOT

41.72 up Soi 3 at TT exchange. Sterling on bull run in light of no deal being virtually ruled out. Its a buy the rumour sell the facts scenario so you may find that once "no deal" officially comes off the table traders will take the profit and Sterling will dip slightly Expect it to rise though to $1.40 once a deal is pushed through
