  1. My Daughter put me on to this, the video is a bit raunchy. I'm liking the blond girl with the shaved head, kind of remionds me of "Servelan" (Jaqueline Pierce) who was a friend of my Mum and who I met numerous times, out of Blakes 7 . She was a bit of a vixen as well. (Jaqueline, not my Mum). She's dancing in the first scene on the left but puts in an appearance later on (the shave headed girl, not Jaqueline as she died in 2018).

The black girl is sexy as hell also. I doubt she'd have a cottage pie in the shape of a heart ready for you when you get home from work, but I reckon she's a bit of a handful between the sheets.

Give it the first 20 seconds of your time.

The 5 pot Audi always sounded like it was underwater, but dammit it's a good sound.

I'll raise you this, great sound but it's actually a Subaru WRX chassis build by Andrew Hawkeswood - Impreza WRX Drivetrain as well I believe.

I had a few days of walking like John Wayne a few years ago whilst in Pattaya.

I went commando and whilst mounting my motorbike boyfriend, I sat straight on my scrotum.  Very painful enjoyable experience it was too.

After that,  I made sure that I visited the boys were kept safety in the barracks at all times.

awful punctuation mate. cleaned it up a bit.

    Things I like today.

    Football. Especially ITFC.

  4. Bit leftfield this topic, but it's odd how stress affects all of us.

Up until my recent trip to Thailand I was under a fair bit of it, basically, lack of sleep, caring for my Dad and other pressures.

Some things stress people differently. For example, a mate at work stresses to hell and back when he is on nights and his Mrs and kids are alone at home. That's fair enough, but other blokes don't worry about that aspect of their lives, whereas another guy worries about being on site late, when me (as the Team leader) really doesn't mind at all if a bloke is 30 mins late as long as he gives a heads up so I can cover him. I've told him so, but he still worries.

    But the signs. The signs.

I was getting "earworms" - songs that I couldn't get out of my head for hours and hours, which in turn stopped me sleeping. Also repetitive dreams, not the normal ones of @Nightcrawler dressed as a clown, chasing me through a playground with an erection, but other , really mundane stuff which kept repeating itself.

Then, a 3 week trip to Thailand where my sleep patterns went back to normal and the stress stopped instantly, because I couldn't do anything about it. The "earworms" stopped, the dreams stopped and the stress went to zero (although BP took a while to settle down).

I now recognise the signs and can action them accordingly. Does anyone else have signs of stress that they recognise and can sort out?.

  5. I recall going into Classroom one night during CG 03, Chart was sat there looking forlorn and there was no staff.

"what happened Chart?" - I asked

"Americans barfined all the girls for a party".

"Why you looking so sad then?"

"Bastards didn't invite me to it".

They had actually gone over the road to Planet Rock, whereupon they managed to fill all 3 floors of the place - so much so that the owner "Gop" pulled me in for an emergency run to Walking Street to round up 4 of her friends as they were struggling to keep up with the drinks service.

We duly returned about 30 minutes later to what I can only describe as absolute bedlam. Instead of ordering spirits by the glass, the Yanks had ordered entire bottles and mixers. I reckon each table had at least 3 bottles of different spirits on them. Gop had pulled all the girls from Lipstick in, and seemingly half of the staff of Rodeo Girls as well.

As this was during Purachai's social order campaign, the bar closed at around 02:00, only for the entire place to empty for a party at the Penthouse next door. I never went to the Party, but from what I gathered from the forums at the time, it was pretty good.

Hi all, looking for a recommend for an English speaking doctor in Pattaya.

Briefly my 71 year old expat friend is having problems with his speech, and mobility. I suspect a mini stroke, based on others I have known with his symptoms. He may require a CT scan to determine the cause and so a doctor at a hospital may be best.

He is on a pension and has limited resources, no insurance. Any ideas, please.

There's also a very good hospital called "Samitivej" near Si Racha - The issue here is that it is not cheap, but the Neurologist there is second to none.

The problem is in many Thai Hospitals is that with these kinds of cases they often opt for invasive treatment as a first rather than a last resort - with that comes increased costs.

They'll run a CT and MRI, see what damage has been done or if it's an ongoing brain bleed and then will offer treatment. It's important to establish whether it's a TIA or stroke.

I've a mate who has been to 3 different hospitals and had 3 different prognosis with 3 different costs attached. The guy at Saitivej basically found the issue which was down to a conflict of meds the previous Thai hospital had given him.

Make sure he takes all his current meds with him, especially if he's on Apixaban or any other anti coagulant / thinner.

Whilst I don't disagree with that comment, soi 6 has an amazing selection of girls right now ranging from your tug o war team through to 35kgs wet through spinners.

I think the saddest thing for me is that you could probably get a decent tug o war team out of many gogos now too, both in Pattaya and Bkk.

I agree. There's some really good girls down there, some right stunners. The Nightwish bars do have some of the best girls on the street. I had a couple of beers in "Lust" this trip, some nice looking girls but the bloody music was obscenely loud. It did have a great atmosphere though.

  8. I'm not a big spirits drinker, but my weapon of choice with 2 cubes of clear ice is Glenmorangie Signet:

    glenmorangie_signet_126307-2902574328.png

There are some complex whiskies out there, I'm not a purist nor and expert, but it has always been heralded as a mans drink, from "Scotty" on the USS Enterprise to every Hollywood tough guy trope.

Given the choice though, either Bombay Sapphire and tonic or Tanquaray Ragnpur tonic.

Same week I was travelling 1 hour and 40 mins each way to visit my Dad in Hospital after a major op, which went wrong then they had to do again. After a nightshift with another nightshift to follow.

That's when I went off with stress.

    Justified.

    now back to 118/77

Yes I know the price of top quality tools are eye watering, I recall I paid something like $300 for a starrwhillie flogging spanner 99% wouldn't even know what it is used for

Back in the mid 90's's, post GF1 the Americans were decommissioning several of their UK Air bases, I had the job of what was basically a "tally clerk", enter numbers on a form, tick the box and sign it off. The amount of high quality tools that found their way into the boot of my car  were dumped and buried, or sent to scrap in large 55 gallon barrels with the top then welded closed was shocking.

Here's a small but interesting fact. Some RAF bases were assigned to be used as hospitals. RAF Little Rissington for one:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAF_Little_Rissington

During the decommission, I was tasked with finding a disposal site for almost 20,000 Body bags...

Apart from Pullman King Power, all my hotel bookings, although reserved with a card, are pay on arrival.

King Power have the annoying habit of trying to take the money at any random date  after i book it online. It then triggers my Bank's security as it's attempted to be taken from Thailand when i haven't told them i'm there. They send me a message about it asking me to say yes or no it's me, but message/attempted money being taken is like 3am or so UK time, so i don't see it until i wake up anyway.

So what happens is, bank doesn't approve it, i have to call bank to confirm i know it's genuine, card it's corrupted, get it back working. Bank tell me Pullman would have to attempt to take fee again, but same scenario would play out.

I'm kinda glad, even though it was annoying the 2 times it's happened, as i feel better knowing my Bank are on top of stuff like this.

So i contacted Pullman, explained, they said fine, pay on arrival. I then also booked and paid for July/August's 2 stays when there last month.

I've had a similar issue with Agoda. They took payment, it got bounced so my booking was effectively cancelled. Lesson learned, I actually call Agoda now and settle in full prior to the booking so as not to find myself sleeping a a doorway previously occupied by @Nightcrawler and his boyfriend (the floor is always sticky).

    Hi All.

Hello and welcome to the Forum.

Am I the only one who finds these women unattractive?

The only one that I find remotely attractive is the one on the far right of the pic, but even then it's a bit of a stretch.

I certainly don't find them as attractive as they think they are. Too artificial.

I agree. While all our tastes certainly differ, I think that the heavy make up, false eyelashes, trout pouts and contact lenses do nothing to improve things.

If that's progress, then God help us.

A small deposit like that is typical when setting up an ACH transfer between two accounts. Usually there will be two small amounts deposited. Then for the connecting account you enter those deposit amounts as part of the veryfication process (link).

    ---------------

Absolutely right. Paypal used to charge £1 then re deposit to check the A/C was legit, Hargreaves Lansdown do (did) the exact same thing.

Any inward or outward charge that I know is not correct raises a red flag to me.

hopefully @ChiFlyer it's innocent and easily explained mate. Definitely worth checking though, as if it is a scammer , they may be of the belief and hope that 0.03 is such a small amount, it will go unnoticed, but in reality it's an underhand method of getting your CC verified for them to do their scam..

  15. Well, it wasn't really an outcome so to speak because I never actually got ripped off in the first place, but I was close to it.

Here's a link to the thread:

The Hotel was the Page 10 on Soi 10, and I spent an hour with the Reservations manager discussing what had happened. I showed her the What's app conversation, along with the bank details they asked me to transfer the money to, the emails and all the other details.

I also showed her the email I'd received from their own reservations team, but with an edited footer on it saying to contact via what's app and settle my bill that way. They had no explanation as to how the emails got intercepted, but I'm guessing maybe an unsecure server got hacked and the scammer added their phone number details to the bottom, then once I initiated contact via what'app, they started the scam in earnest.

for extra points being a c**t, the person also told me to cancel my Agoda booking anyway and they'd reserve the room but couldn't guarantee it , but I should cancel anyway. Thus, if I didn't send them the payment, I would be under the impression my booking was still fine, when in fact I'd cancelled it so I'd turn up thinking I was still reserved when I wasn't, so I'd have been stranded.

Anyway, it transpires that 5 people got ripped off due to this before they discovered what had happened. One guy from Norway lost over EURO 1k. The perpetrators were an Indian guy so basically a typical benchod, and someone else, possibly Thai and possibly inside the organisation . Either way they assured me their system is now secure, but TiT.

I thank my lucky stars I didn't follow it through, and also again to Mike from the Devil's Den for turning up on their doorstep with the deposit and sorting my reservation out within 12 hours.

    Moral of the story:

Agoda bookings work pretty well most of the time. A failsafe method is to get a trusted friend to pay the deposit at reception in THB, get confirmation details and names, times and dates. Direct booking is open to abuse, as in this case. As always when dealing with any Hotel, there are always caveats.

  16. All he had to do was use Airbnb or go find some cheap accommodation above a bar. Then again if during songkran then this is perfectly feasible, first off someone scamming cheap accomodation during peak times, and secondly that explains why the Hotel bills were so high.

Whatever happened to using some common sense like hiring a cab for the day to drive you around the hotels (which the driver will know about) until you find one with a half decent walk in or rack rate.
