  1. Great Poster, I have a mint first print. Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Mr. Bojangles with intro:
  2. Big 5 Original Signed ART Poster. This is an unbelievably beautiful Poster, unfortunately the glass makes it hard to photograph:
  3. I saw Jimmy Buffet on the Cheeseburger In Paradise Tour at the Greek Theater.
  4. Your friend has some nice posters. This is a third print but it's signed by Chet Helms the founder of the Family Dog. Below Wes Wilson Posters: The 2 posters on the left are first print posters, there are 3 types of first run posters (printed before the concert). The poster on the right is a third print poster signed by Grace Slick.
  5. When I did my COE last May one of the first forms, I was required to sign was a form stating I would obey all Thai Laws. I bet this page is in the current COE.
  6. Poster BG 141 Rick Griffin artist signed and signed by the Iron Butterly Band members: Another Artist Rick Griffin signed poster:
  7. Uncanny again Laz, The Big 5! The Big 5 in later years would do poster shows together. They would make a show poster, and each would sign the bottom of the Poster. I have 3 of these posters. Unfortunately, 2 of my 3 are being professionally framed now. Below is an artist proof (A/P 1) of the ART show: The other 2 much cooler than this poster.
  8. Laz you are uncanny in your poster topic selection. Back in 66 or 67 when I bought my first four posters this was one of the posters. Must have been doing some major room redecoration at the time. Like many did at the time, I tacked each corner to the wall. My first BG035 poster and already the 3rd printing! Notice the pinholes and the water stain. This poster was rolled up for over 20 years and pressed flat with heavy books for a couple of years. Below is both my BG035 posters the 1st print on the right: On that trip to the poster shop I bought another poster. I bought this poster because I thought the girl was cool and to me the poster epitomized Psychedelia.
  9. This poster can still be purchased in very good condition: First printing reduced from $668 to $334 and the second print in mint condition for $20. That interest was clear on this large triptych advertising two Fillmore West concerts. The Indian, presenting a broken arrow with his left hand held in the universal symbol for "get lost", was flanked by panels announcing Sha-Na-Na and Love in separate concerts. The birds aside the central figure were a play on the artist's personal motif of two birds guarding or protecting the main collage.
  10. Almost all of the Filmore (West, East and Winterland) Concerts are available for streaming on demand for annual fee from this website www.wolfgangs.com Wolfgang is Bill Grahams real first name. Wolfgang's Music Unlimited streaming of the world's greatest live concert recordings.
  11. I received my Birdsong (Winterland Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane) Poster and Handbill in the mail today. Incredibly pleased with the poster/handbill quality (pristine museum quality). Hard to believe they were printed over 50 years ago. Laz explanation for your poster color difference is that during the print run the yellow color run was skipped by accident which sometimes occurs.
  12. I found this poster online from a famous Berkeley Poster Gallery. It's different from Laz's photo the bird is yellow, and the banner is green. I couldn't resist I purchased this poster.
  13. Here are some examples of Stanley Mouse's signature: You get a Peace of art (pun intended) when you get Stanley Mouse's signature. Alton Kelly died a few years back. So, there will not be any more signed Mouse/Kelly Posters.
  14. FD31, a Family Dog Poster (Avalon Ballroom, run by Chet Helms) was originally printed with the wrong dates. It was discovered and a new printing with the correct dates was run before the concert. The poster with wrong dates is coveted by collectors. The poster on the right contains the correct concert dates. The poster artists are Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, often collaborated on posters. Think Journey, Grateful Dead etc. Known as Mouse Kelly often mistaken for one artist. Stanley Mouse is famous for his running Mouse Signature. Which he signed on the poster on the right. Alton Kelly is deceased.
  15. Thanks, Laz! Below is my First Print Poster which I purchased about 25 years ago. This is another Lee Conklin Poster.
