The Car taxi's - blue and yellow ( car taxi mafia), also can be booked via bolt, and are the first option on bolt at the reduced price, so they do not have problems. I would never book a motorbike via bolt, due to so many motorbike taxis around. Great for when you want a car at the cheapest price, far better than Grab ( @Nightcrawler)

I guess you do really know the answer to this one. A DL, ID card and yellow book does not show if you have overstayed. True, they have your passport number on your DL, up to them if they want to be difficult about it. Very simple to take a pic of your passport front page. I have a DL and I own property, I am not sure that will impress them when looking for overstay and asking for passport.

For the first time ever I was asked to show my passport by immigration guys. Sitting in a bar in Soi 6 yesterday (7th Dec 2022), the immigration people were going from bar to bar. When they came into the bar I was in they went from foreigner to foreigner asking them to show their passports. My friend had a laminated credit card sized version, my other friend had his actual passport, I had a photo on my phone, all were acceptable and they took photos of the main photo page. I had a picture of the main page, 90 day reporting and stamp for when to leave or renew. Immigration was only interested in the main photo page. You hear 3rd party talk about this, well this is my 1st party actual experience.
