  1. Grilled up some brats and added Hormel chili for good old chili dogs
  2. Yes I do. I also love bologna when you fry it up and add it to a grilled cheese sandwich.
  3. Just crawling out of bed. Had the last 3 days off due to my fractured foot. Get a soft cast today so I can get back to work. Have enjoyed the time off.
  4. Well theres an old sod that I haven't seen in a very long time. And he's looking very trim. Good to see he's alive and well.
  5. A week after I fractured my foot. I stepped from a deck down onto a concrete sidewalk and only caught the edge of it. To complicate matters I was carrying an 80 pound box of hardwood flooring on my right shoulder. The ankle has turned a sickly yellow
  6. Looks like it could be parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah or Colorado. Hard to conceive that 60+ million years ago it was a great rain forest, let alone under water. The history of the planet is truly mind boggling.
  7. Nice lazy day today. Ran some errands with the GF earlier and now I'm upstairs with my foot propped up ready for a nap.
  8. Just home from the emergency room. I was stocking boxes of hardwood flooring 4 days ago for the job I'm on. Boxes weigh a good 80 pounds and I had it hoisted up onto my right shoulder. As I stepped down from one deck onto a concrete sidewalk I was short by 85%, sending my foot into a total vertical position. Never have I sprained my foot so damn bad. Hurt like the dickens.... but I didn't drop the box. Of course the extra weight just drove me leg into the ground that much harder. Was getting any better so went to hospital today to get xrays. Seems I have 2, what they call Avulsion fractures in the left foot. But on the bright side its not broken.
  9. Was my order of 22 calibur mini mags. Going to go shooting with my brother in the next couple weeks. 500 rounds of CCI and 500 rounds of Armscor high velocity 22 long rifle. Going to shoot my new KelTec CP33 pistol. Great little target gun and lots of fun to shoot.
  10. Thank you so much MrL. Funny part is, I was here when you were going to Fort Lewis. My brother was working in the mines between Silverton and Ouray back in the early 70s and I kept coming up from Phoenix and LA to visit him. In 1975 we bought 40 acres 1 mile south of Purgatory Ski Area. I left my job with Union 76 Oil Co. In LA and moved here in 1976. Been here ever since. I am truly blessed to of ended up in such a beautiful area. It really is Gods country.
  11. Hermosa Creek is starting to swell with the snow melt in the high country
  12. Wow.... those are beautiful. What a wonderful gift from your Grandfather.
  13. I posted some of these awhile back. But I finally got them all in one place. I started collecting these 60 plus years ago. My Grandfather gave me my very first hunting knife and as the years went by I would find them in second hand stores, junk stores, garage sales and antique stores. My Grandfater was fond of saying that a man should never be caught out in the woods without a good knife at his side. Those were simpler days.
  14. Just finished mowing the yard.... " Shaping up nicely whilst enjoying a nice bottle of Pepsi Cola " lol Funny but it's just not the same
  15. This one was from the James Ranch. Excellent from the first bite to the last.
