  1. Ok they were building a new large approx 1m circular pipe out to sea when I saw it- Maybe they think can run the rainwater off the beach into sea. I’m only guessing - it’s often hard to tell the intention
  2. Not saying it's right but 4 year contract for a 28 year old quality player. £400k x 4 x 48 = £77m Now if you calculate no transfer fee- it makes him a pretty cheap buy as they would still pay a wage after a transfer fee.
  3. Well no food thread is right without a post showing Beefeater. I still think it's best in town as always spot on and no variance in quality ( a rare thing in Pattaya ). Everything cooked to perfection and how we ordered. I will let pictures do the talking.
  4. I wouldn't call this bad, but i'd not rush back to it unless in area wanting some chinese quick and easy. Crab and sweetcorn soup (normal crab sticks) was pretty tasty. Fried rice not a lot of love or flavour gone into it. Beef was ok but a bit tough. Chicken szechaun bizarrely battered, that's a first for me anywhere in the world- now I know that's no issue for a lot of people but a bit of a pet hate for me. If stated on menu i'd never order. Not a negative review I would eat there again, maybe bit more careful with what I ordered.
  5. Back to some home cooking. Freshly made from the market - crab, sweetcorn and ginger soup.
  6. Retox Game On do a very good Sunday lunch. I went for the beef which was a good medium cooked. The stars for me though are the yorkshire pudding, mashed potato and cauliflower cheese- combined with gravy to die for. Fish and chips spot on and very big portion. It's a lot of food and that's standard size, they do a larger size for another 100 baht.
  7. A very simple but tasty brunch. Creamy garlic pepper mushrooms on toast. Fairly heavily seasoned because I only had the crappy thai bread which tends to be a little sweet.
  8. Cheers. Been a bit weird for a while since living over here- spend a lot less time reading about Thailand stuff. Think this will be a good place to get back into it.
  9. Still a little weird but lots of good looking components. I'm trying to think of a dressing for that- maybe honey and walnut would work.

    Cobra Gold

Have seen a fair few around- they are extremely well behaved and friendly.
  11. Decent food at PBG- portions always large so takeaway leftovers make another meal in evening.
  12. It looks pretty good right now- was looking at it from PGB, but how long for.........?
