Listening to the rain coming down, just having a beer on my villa veranda.

I have probably been on my lap top and phone more than usual but the weather in Koh Samui has not been kind to those of us wanting to be outside. I read to my little one every night although she does get on Porn's mobile more occasionally than I like when not much else to do. I did bring some books to read to her and thankfully she likes to play outside and have me read to her. I won't be buying her her own phone or tablet though.

Blimey my one is lucky to get a viewing of my mobile phone on occasions. No tablet till she is about 14 although no doubt school will introduce her to many media platforms before that.

Not necessarily the Ark bar but Koh Samui is definitely a good destination for a family with young children. Beach at Chaweng is perfect for sand castles.

Perfecting my Thai Spice dance moves at the Ark bar, Chaweng, Koh Samui. So far have only been pelted with one pair of Bridget Jones size pants, give it time, I am just warming up.

Yes I got down to see him. short visit in between document sorting.............had to have the steak and kidney pudding........wanted to get to Mai Tai but never did. Did see Phil at Le Pub as well. Was going to call John Luke and never got around to it but think he was in Bangkok going by his thread on the Bangkok Motor Show. Apologies to JL if I got that wrong. I will be back in middle of January.

I won't be drinking as much as last night, need to take it slowly today with the beers.

Was a good night but being an amateur we left early. Getting up at 4.30 am to get to Koh Samui was taking it's toll. Good night, plenty of orange around the bar, too much political chit chat but a great night anyway and then Chelsea put the icing on the cake for me and you.

Met up with the well groomed man last night, wasn't a hair out of place after a pretty good drinking session. Me I looked like I had been dragged through a hedge backwards....................

Ok. just seen this. It's piddling.......bloody English weather

Just arrived in my hotel in Koh Samui and it started pissing down with rain, luckily we were in room before the downpour. I have now just found time to get a few beers from the local Family Mart on the main road. Was quite a trek from Don Mueang to Nakhon Si Thammarat, to Donsak Pier to Lipa Pier and finally to Crystal Bay Yacht Club resort but worth it. Will be slumming it on Bangkok Airways next Saturday direct to Swampy.

Blimey been married 24 hours and the wife has already buggered off to see the family in deepest Bangkok. For me, it looks like a quick journey to Henry J Bean downstairs near the lobby although they don't do pies and I could really do with a pie, too much Thai food has been finding it's way down my gob. Won't drink too much as getting on a 6.50 am flight out of Don Muang.

Catch you on Saturday.......slumming it on Air Asia to Si Thamarat then bus and ferry. Hope to be in resort about 1pm.

Well the happy couple have checked into the Amari Don Muang with the wee one. Couldn't help but mention about getting hitched and got instantly upgraded to the Grand Deluxe Pool View on the top floor. Was going to grab a drink in Henry J Beans but opens 1700, I will be in there shortly after.

Meant to be getting married at 7.30 am tomorrow but just been advised by agent we are getting married in 30 mins. Just on way to Ministry of Foreign Affairs to pick up agent then off to get hitched. I am appropriately dressed in Molecule shorts and Beverley Hills polo shirt, no time to change but only a few documents to sign.

Well after chatting with a nice Norwegian guy about the newbie rules on bar-fining I decided to have a last drink in a go go. Sadly I found myself in Rambo 3 in Nana (sure that was the name), namely because after sitting there enjoying myself for 10 minutes my space and enjoyment were hijacked by two British arseoles. You know the type, guys who make the dancers back up and the waitresses group together. The guy literally sat on me when there must have been 20 other seats he could have sat on. My smile changed to a cautious stare at the stage and the girls around me. This guy kept stomping around the stage sticking his tongue out at any pussy nearby. Girls trying to laugh but felt awkward. Guy coming back to his seat and turning sharply to stare at me. Just got to me, I checked bin but not before asking the guy why he was staring at me and not the girls on stage. His reaction 'I don't give a fcuk'. As much as I thought I could handle myself the better option was to walk away and get out of the place before the inevitable bullshit ended in confrontation. Why oh why are there arseoles like that around that create these scenarios. Nothing good comes of it. Back home now where peace and tranquillity prevail.

Almost as important, the staff were not that friendly I am in Nana beer garden and the Asahi is actually 160 net. Friendly staff although no real lookers. I am shocked there isn't a Help The Aged office in Nana.

Yes bit naughty really. 265 is a bit steep for a poor beer let alone the taxes on top.

Got my bill for my 265 baht Kilkenny, it was 311 baht with taxes. I am happily in Nana watching footie drinking a pint of Asahi at 160 baht (hopefully)
