    EASYJET SAY We are currently cancelling our flights on a seven-day rolling basis to manage the number of contacts going to our Customer Service Team. This ensures that we’re able to help and support our customers as best we can. As your flight hasn’t been cancelled yet, you can do the following: Change your flight You can switch onto any flight at any time with no change fees. You can also change your flight as many times as you’d like, to any route, for any date up to March ’21. Change your flight > Hold onto your flight Alternatively, hold on until your flight has been cancelled and more options will become available for you.
  3. Not a drop for 3.5 weeks as I don’t drink at home. I normally drink 3 times a week and I don’t hold back when out. Feeling better for it, sleeping well, eating healthier and exercising so combined it’s almost a 1 stone / 6.5kg weight loss - some benefits of this lockdown .....will try use this time to readjust my lifestyle

I’ve read a bit on this and spoken in depth to CC company and it seems straightforward ( famous last words) as the company has ceased trading section 75 of the consumer credit act comes into play making a refund more likely. Your rights under Section 75 Under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, the credit card company is jointly and severally liable for any breach of contract or misrepresentation by the retailer or trader. This means it is just as responsible as the retailer or trader for the goods or service supplied, allowing you to also put your claim to the credit card company. You don't have to reach a stalemate with the retailer or trader before you can contact your credit card provider - you can make a claim to both the retailer and credit card provider simultaneously, although you can't recover your losses from both. This right is particularly useful if the retailer or trader has gone bust, or it doesn't respond to your letters or phone calls. Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act also applies to foreign transactions as well as goods bought online, by telephone or mail order for delivery to the UK from overseas.

  7. My sound a bit Pervy but Some of the girls on the phone sounded hot ( cue, sex phone line joke of old dear knitting whilst pretending she was a 36 DD supermodel and frigging herself off on the phone to a caller) 🤣. Please don’t shatter my dreams
  8. Yes, I guess with them they were a bit of a one trick pony ( aka a specialist agent) with low profit margins so keeping it running would have been a challenge. I expect the owners did ok whilst trading but felt this was an insurmountable issue to battle through.
  9. Not sure if this is widely known. ive booked through West East travel on and off for 15 years and had excellent service and pricing. I’ve also used other agents and booked direct with airlines but would estimate that WE Travel have been my choice of booking agent for around 80% of my/our trips to Thailand. It came as a bit of a shock to hear a few weeks back that they’d ceased trading. I think was on the 17th March. First I knew is when I received an out- of-the blue email from Thai Air ( first time for 4 years we’ve chosen them) which changed our outward flight from evening to midday and in bound from lunchtime to early morning ( just after midnight). Our trip was for one month end of July to end of August. having researched a bit it seems WE carry no responsibility and refer you back into airline. In this case, and as I booked through my credit card company I was advised to claim a refund from them. The reason for this is twofold. Firstly, I’m not convinced travel in July will be possible and / or enjoyable and secondly the knock on effect of the minor flight changes wouldn’t be ideal. All considered I’ve fired off a claim to my CC company as Thai Air refer customers who booked through an agent to do so and as WE are no longer trading this is my preference rather than take amended flights. just a heads up to anyone else using WE and also to note the loss of what I considered to be a decent agent.

    Bit of a TF - I just had this from Easyjet Up to 21 days for a refund ( if it is as suggested) isn’t too shabby. Feel for the admin staff Hi Adam,Thanks for getting in touch.John’s asked me to take a look at your booking on his behalf. First of all can I apologize for the struggle to get through at the moment, due to the current situation there is a lockdown in every country we operate contact centers in, we have a very small skeleton staff able to answer calls or emails, as it stands at the moment we cannot add to the resource for obvious reasons. Your refund request will have been logged but will take a lot longer to be processed due to the resource constraints.We will ask our team now to make sure this has been logged and is in the queue to be processed. Once we have completed our checks we will get back to you with the outcome – this will be within the next 21 days.This is not the level of service we normally operate but our team and our centers are working every moment of everyday to ensure we answer every complaint or request as quickly as possible.

  14. If I lived in London my wife would be a regular there. You’re very lucky to have it. I do recollect seeing a BBC documentary about it a few years back snd the changes it was going though.some right East End characters who worked there

  16. That’s very sad. Found his vlogs entertaining. Met him once at his Wednesday Hideaway meeting and he was quite funny. he introduced himself to me then said “do you want some food at the back there, it’s free”. I said No, to which he replied “ don’t blame you mate it’s shit, I’m waiting for the lady to come round who sells the sausage rolls”. Certainly a character RIP.

    Although that’s a bugger, id take comfort in that knowing that 1. They’ve agreed a refund ( if they have) and 2. It’s on its way, albeit slowly. im looking at rather than a refund for our July trip to rebook for December but that said who knows if travel then will be possible or indeed advisable. f***d either way for now

    Hope you’ll be ok. As suggested it’s probably sheer volume of applications for changes/ refunds. I’ve more confident in EVA than airlines like EasyJet
