  6. https://www.thailand-247.com/topic/4934-wat-nong-ao-–-the-golden-temple-pattaya/ Temples are not everyone's cup of tea. The link above relates to a thread containing all the afternoon's pictures. A few here as a taster. Without doubt one of the most well maintained temples I have seen in Thailand.
  7. Wat Nong Ao – The Golden Temple - Pattaya. Wat Nong Ao is a small local temple located in central Pattaya. What differentiates it from the other temples in Pattaya is its shiny exterior. It feels like everything in this temple is gilded and shiny. It’s like a billionaires private golden temple and exploring it feels pretty cool. There are a couple of zodiac discs, a big reclined Buddha statue, a picturesque Ganesha shrine, and a praying (and moving) skeleton with glasses. Even though it’s very easy to reach Wat Nong Ao, there are hardly any tourists in it so you can enjoy an authentic experience there. A beautiful and quiet Temple near the Big C in Pattaya 3rd road.Really colourful and good for photos
  8. Again with the greatest of respect, the lockdowns and travel restrictions have in most circumstances been something akin to an irritation, a cause for annoyance, an inconvenience all of which fade into insignificance compared to the number of lives lost and the even greater number of lives which would have been lost without vaccines and preventative measures, in my view. In January last year, due to UK travel restrictions, I had to cancel a trip to Thailand; I was annoyed at the time but complied. Losses I incurred were restricted to the cost of a pre flight PCR test: everything else refunded within a matter of days. Hardly even significant compared to the many deaths and cases of hospitalisation in UK and elsewhere.
