    Just checked into our apartment, the wife is loving the balcony but it's making me feel sick just watching her looking over the balcony,I won't be anywhere near them railings 😄

    Sat In Krabi airport having checked in for our flight to Don Mueang and then onwards to Sin City and our apartment for 11 days at View Talay 6.

    Evening meal last night at Red Chilli Thai Cuisine. Cracking little restaurant that features home made wooden furniture and accessories and very friendly family welcome. We had Chicken Satay,minced pork noodle salad,sweet and sour pork,beef namtok and rice.For dessert banana frtters with coconut ice cream and mango with sticky rice.Wife had Tom Yum Cocktail and a Mango Pina and I had 2 lge Singha's. Bill was 1400bht and they had 200 bht tip for exemplary service.

    This is our hotel in Ao Nang Rooms are very nice, we are staying in a de luxe room including breakfast which has cost me 23148 bht for 9 nights, the cost is inclusive of18% in taxes.room service is available until 11pm.Reception staff are all very friendly and helpful.Their is a very good choice at the buffet breakfast but alas the offering for falang is chicken hot dogs,chicken ham and those big baked means which are barely warm, wife says all the thai food she has eaten and she has eaten loads has all been delicious.

    Chilling with a couple of Thai Sangria's by the pool with sweat oozing out of every pore.

    I can only think it is because the files are to large, the last one was short the others 2/3 mins long.

    In the evening after the long tail boat trip we went to Reeve Beach Club, I had booked a table here 6 weeks ago to guarantee a front row seat for the 8pm Fire Show which was probably the best I have seen over the years.I was the only one to have a starter which was a very soft garlic bun. The mains included pork ribs Penang,beef cheek masaman, black squid,green crab curry,various other seafood dishes, some desserts were had including Tiramisu, chocolate pudding, mango sticky rice.we had 4 rounds of drinks including a special Reeve pina colda served in a coconut shell.The bill came to 6900 bht. 20230417_200454.mp4 20230417_200735.mp4

    Yesterday we took a long-tail boat trip which took us to Railay beach then across to Chicken Island and the Tale waek then to Ko Tup for some snorkelling.The 6 of us were picked up at our hotel and dropped back after the trip, they supplied chilled bottles of water and a fresh fruit platter. The 5 hr trip cost 2400 bht.

    The better half is having a glass of Sangria and I am on Gin with Elderflower tonic and the Andaman sea is breaking on the shore just below us.

    Forgot to mention the bill came to 1700 bht for 6 of us.

    Had a table booked for 8.30 pm HERE last night and everybody really enjoyed the food.It was busy but everything came out from the busy kitchen very quickly.We had rice and 2 ptns chips,2 large Chang,6 small Singas and 4 cokes,we had 4 ptns of deep fried pork belly a South ofThailand Sea Bass curry, a stir fried Squid with pickled egg and a Chicken Penang.Bit of the beaten track but we'll worth the effort to find it.

    Good morning from the L Resort,Ao Nang.This is the view from our breakfast table on our first morning here having arrived last night after a 9 hour journey from Loei Province involving 2 flights and a minibus journey.We have my wifes brother and wife with their 2 sons with us who all experienced their first time flying. I never got around to posting while up north due to excess alcohol consumption and feeling ultra lethargic in the oppressive heat.Will try and catch up over the coming days. We are off on a long tail boat at 10 am for a 5 hr 4 Island trip.Catch you again .

    Been at Don Muang since 9am this morning and our flight is not until 15.10 so we booked a room for 3 hrs to have 40 winks.1100 bht I thought was not unreasonable, very clean a shower with towels and toiletries provided, good air conditioning and 2 bottles of water in the room. Our ride to Loei has just arrived so should be called soon.

    On our way to Don Muang in a cab which was ordered through Booking.com. 5 mins to get through immigration then 20 mins waiting for cases.My wife went and sorted our Sim cards out while I waited for our luggage

    So let our 6000 mile journey begin, first trip back to Thailand since April 19. Driving to Premier Inn at Sunbury on Thames.Got a table booked at the Sipson Tandoori Restaurant this evening.We will partake of the premier breakfast at 7.30 in the morning before taking our car to its Park On My Drive home for the next 4 weeks.The guy whose space we are parking at will take us to Terminal 2 for a 12.30 departure on flight TG911. Cannot wait to feel that heat on my back again.
