  1. You speak my language. Frankly, I'd have them all rounded up and shot.
  2. Banter scenes when the new 'strain' is resistant to the new 'vaccine'. 🤣
  3. Who knows? I was hopeful after the vaccine news but now they are saying that they will still impose social distancing requirements on people, even after they have been vaccinated. If may well be 2022 before you can travel to Thailand at ease.
  4. Thailand isn't due to get the Oxford vaccine until spring time. The PM said that he won't open the borders until the Thais have been vaccinated, so it doesn't look most of us will be visiting Thailand in 2021.
  5. Celtic win the Scottish Cup. What a great game that was.
  6. Disregard whatever you want, doesn't mean its not true. The Thai healthcare system is far superior to that of most nations, including France or Ireland. Thailand is more than capable of handling a tiny rise in covid19 cases. It certainly does not need a hysterical overreaction, although I fear that's what is going to happen.
  7. No. Thailand was recently ranked as one of the best health systems in the world. It has incredible private hospitals for those that can afford health insurance, and a good level of provision for those reliant on state aid. Compare that to France, which is reliant on sub saharan Africans with fake degrees and appalling hygiene, or the UK with 5 year waiting lists and diversity co-ordinators on 50k a year. There is no contest, Thai health system is far superior and well equipped to cope. OK, so no proof.
  8. Thailand has a population of almost 70 million and one of the best healthcare systems in the world. The majority of these new cases were asymptomatic, this is no reason to panic, and utterly inevitable.
  9. I really hope they see sense, there is no need to panic, majority of new cases were asymptomatic. Thailand has one of the best healthcare systems in the world, it can cope with a small increase in cases. Many hospitality businesses will not be able to cope with being shuttered over what should be the busiest time of year. 😩
  10. Bang Saen and Trang have cancelled their NYE festivities. Looks like covid hysteria could be set to hit Thailand.
  11. Out of the bag? Behave FFS, Thailand has a population of over 60 million, 500+ cases in a population of over 60 million is nothing to worry about.
  12. 538 cases did not come from one person, bearing in mind they don't know where that one person contracted the virus, although it looks like migrants will be getting the blame for that. It's a worrying development, but no need for a hysterical overreaction.
  13. 548 cases from just one person? Doubt it, clearly more people came forward at first than the govt let in, I see they are blaming migrants despite the first 3 reported infections all being Thai nationals.
  14. I'll have to check it out sometime. I know Thai Airways opened a restaurant where people could eat their grub, I think it was in an old disused aircraft. I know its been done before, wouldn't be my cup of tea.
  15. That big man has been going strong for years, fair play to him.
  16. There have been several strange situations of local transmission lately that have been explained away in the most peculiar manner, but whatever, people aren't dropping dead on the street and the country continues on much as normal...
  17. Terminal 21? Think it's just the theme. Same as the airplane outside Terminal 21 in Pattaya.
  18. https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2037135/thailand-eases-curbs-on-travel BKK post reporting on the return of the visa exemption scheme.
  19. Rangers bottled the league cup. Absolute scenes when they bottle the Scottish Cup... And possibly the league. Never say never, he's called slippy g for a reason.
  20. Of course it makes it easier. If you didn't have the money before but met all the requirements, you couldn't get in because you didn't have enough money. Now that barrier has been removed, if you meet the requirements you can get a visa. Maybe its to with wherever you are in the world, Brits don't seem to be having that much trouble getting visas at present. They'll have even less trouble in the next week when the visa exemption is reintroduced.
  21. It was a typo, I meant to say easy, I can't edit posts for some reason. 🤔
  22. It seems that visa exemption is being reintroduced as the news reported then. Won't satisfy some, but a move in the right direction.
  23. I never said it was easier, I said it was easier than it was months ago.
