The way the Tory lead over Labour has dropped in the polls over the last two days, if that continues during the voting today then a hung Parliament might be a good result for Boris.

Transferred £1500 on Friday and it arrived the following Tuesday afternoon. Avoid transferring money on a Friday if you need it quickly, guys!

I love the dark chocolate cherry liqueurs, and M&S make the best, but at around five quid a box they're not cheap. Then I discovered a cheap version in Aldi, just a quid a box and almost as good. I bring those back with me nowadays.

That's pretty much what I read about how it works, too. The trouble is that it's much easier to transfer foreign currency into Thailand than it is to transfer Thai Baht out (and the bozos wonder why the Baht is so overvalued!). So who exactly is transferring so many Baht out of Thailand to cover our GBP/USD/EUR transfers into the country? I read that TW won't transfer THB into a foreign bank account, if that's true then how do they get the necessary THB?

The days here in Pattaya are lovely, sunny and around 28° or 29° C. The nights, though, are either too cool or else not cold enough. It's too cool for the air con to run efficiently, but it's not cold enough that I'm happy with just a fan blowing on me. And all those people back home who think we're just swinging in hammocks all day drinking ice cold beer, they don't realise the hardships we have to endure!

What's weird was that when I transferred a grand with TW two weeks ago it arrived before I could log out of my UK online banking account, literally less than two minutes. Today, I got an e-mail money received by TW, thank you very much, we'll send your money in three days time, and since I did the transfer two hours ago and it still hasn't arrived here with the weekend approaching I suspect they really do mean "three days time". I wonder why the difference?

It's the usual Fx quandary. Do you transfer the money now in case something goes tits-up next week, or do you wait until after the election, as a clear Conservative win should boost the pound to well above 40 Baht? I'm playing safe and secure and just sent £1500 to Thailand via TW.

Why did the pound go up yesterday? It's not a case of Baht weakness as Sterling was also up against the Euro and over $1.30 again. Whatever it was, we need more of it!!!

I had the same thing yesterday afternoon. Transferred £1000 from Barclays in the UK to Transferwise. Pressed the button on their website saying the tranfser has been made. Their email arrived saying that the transfer has started and I'll receiver my money within two days, then an SMS arrived on my phone from SCB saying the money was in my account here, then an e-mail arrived from TW saying that the money has been sent. All happened faster than you could follow, very good service.

I just got 38.84 for Sterling at the TT in TukCom, so I guess that's the weekend rate.

Yes, but why is it so strong, although the government won't shout it from the rooftops the Thai economy is in a bad way at the moment.
