The people on extensions do not have to plan.... they are not affected by having to get insurance as it does not include them. The ones who have to get the insurance are the ones applying for Non O-A Visa which are obtained from an Embassy or Consulate outside of Thailand from 31 October 19. If they decide that all will have to have insurance in the future.... so be it..... we have no control over that...…. it will not be an overnight thing.... there will be a period of time before the lead in to when it becomes necessary. Why worry about things that you have no control over..... if that time comes..... again if being the operative word..... there will be time for each individual to make the decision in what they want to do...…. not rocket science. cheers

Maybe it will... maybe it won't.... but why worry about it ….. it is something that we cannot control. At the moment if you apply for the extension.... bottom line is that you do not need to get it..... so the ones already here on extensions it is not relevant to them. cheers

You make a fair point.. I have been there when I have been the only customer but also when the place was packed and when there treated well with no problems ... in fact in the past they have had great parties which actually carried over to the soi.. A fair few people have a shot at Alex... some justifiable..... some not..... but he is still in business while a lot of other places have died. He has been in Metro when it was just starting off.... but still there. Personally I reckon it is time to put Secrets to bed.... it is over.... no more... Did you read my post where I said that it is probably not right but as the owner of the forum... he has the right to do what he wants.... much the same as the owners of this site and other sites. You ask what I find disrespectful ...this is what I find disrespectful about what we are talking about. I find it disrespectful that people who sign up to a free forum.... agree to abide by the rules....but get their nose out of joint because the person/people who own/run the forum apply them but they think that they should dictate terms to the owner. I find it disrespectful when the people who sign up to a forum think that they are more important than the person who owns it and over time they think in fact that they are proxy owners, act accordingly and drive other BMs away because they have different views and posting styles. I find it disrespectful that the ones who crawled up Ben's arse when all was going well... regularly posted that they were in his company and enjoyed it but because he decided to move on to other ventures now think and openly state he was nothing but a c##t in their eyes...two faced??. The bloke owned the forum.... it is up to him what he wanted to do with it...especially when he supplied it for free. I wish it was still going.... it is not.... most have moved on.... but interesting the ones who have not moved on...or cannot.... are the ones who were up his arse since day one and cannot accept his decision. It was only a forum..... get over it..... it is not the end of the world. If one of the most important things in your life is that an owner has moved on and closed a free forum for you to use.... then I suggest that you have a look at the priorities in your life. cheers

Might not be right.... but as he owns the site... he has that right. When all first signed up... was it not one of the conditions that what was posted was then under the ownership of that site( or along those lines)??? If so... as said... he can do what he wants. You make some good points. Maybe the Scooters owners are on here and have read the threads about Secrets here as there is a couple of topics running and have decided why comment at all. Really overall... most of the comments have been negative and a fair few have put the boot in to the former establishments because it is down and out. I think the problem is that some cannot accept that Secrets as most knew it is no more..... it has run its course…. a shame... but that is how it is .... things have changed... but many cannot accept the fact and move on... time they did.. It was a great place.... but Larry summed it up in another post.... life moves on..... and really I think some should move on also. Remember the memories...but life goes on. cheers

I cannot comment on what happened as I was not privy to it mate..... and it is between Larry and Ben so do not really want to know.... none of my business. Larry made his decision and I respect his decision and understands where he is coming from with the comment of life moves on. The point I was making.... for all of Ben's misgivings..... he did some goods things while he was there and the original hiring of Larry and later Phil were a couple of them. cheers

There seems to be a fair few of those current detractors on here now who were the main boisterous supporters of him and who use to wear the badge of his "cult" following with honour when he was still in Patts.... always posted that to call in and get his "approval" was one of the main reasons they travelled to Patts and visited the then Secrets......lol. cheers

Mate... I do not blame them at all.... they deserve their pay if they did what they were hired for.... same as anyone who works anywhere. Going by some of the posts above... it seems they are getting paid and when/if the place opens then it is then up to them if they want to work there again if offered a job. cheers

Fair point... but I will drop in as usual when next in town if open . On the staff issue.... there seems to be a lot of innuendo getting spruiked around by some who have no involvement with the place and some who do not even live in LOS over different fora and the truth is probably in the middle of all the innuendos. Hopefully it will reopen and good luck to all those involved if/when it does.... always good to have a selection of venues to go to as a punter when in town. cheers
