  1. I still have a great time on my holidays in Pattaya. It was definitely better before in my eyes.
  2. Thanks for your reply. Coincidentally, I've just seen this recommended in Mike Matthew's "Little Black Book of Workout Motivation", which is also a great and inspiring read.
  3. That sounds very interesting. Do you have time to tell us a bit more please?
  4. https://magsdirect.co.uk/magazine/q-legends-the-collectors-series-paul-weller/ Not sure mate. I haven't looked at this properly yet, but the site does described itself as your online newsagent.
  5. I've just picked up for 1p and £2.80 postage on Amazon, "The Last Executioner" which is the memoirs of Thailand's last prison executioner. A friend recommended the book while I was on holiday and I was fascinated when he told me the Last Executioner used to be a rock musician in Pattaya before he took up his new career. I haven't started reading the book yet, but I think I'll enjoy reading that bit.
  6. I picked up Q Magazine's Legends Series on Paul Weller a couple of days ago. It's a whole magazine about him going back to his Jam days , featuring loads of old interviews and right up this year. Good stuff.
  7. Yeah, he was a few years younger than the guys in the big punk bands at the time and he has well outlasted them.
  8. I was there too mate. I'm getting well into Weller and going back to the Jam. I'd forgotten what a brilliant band they were.
  9. Water, but it will be a pint of Guinness on the weekend.
  10. I've watched Kev and Geoff Carter a couple of times but it takes a lot of patience and more spare time than I have to sit through a whole video of information I know already or is not that useful.

  12. Doesn't this thread seem a bit familiar? Well I've learnt Krapow has excellent taste in music. I was lucky enough to see Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher the weekend before last at Bristol Down. Brilliant.
  13. I did a kettlebells class a couple of years ago and really struggled to keep up for an hour. The best time for me is half an hour before work. if I leave it to after work, it just doesn't seem to happen and the gym is a lot busier anyway. It's dead quiet at 7.30 am. I wish it opened earlier. I alternate between resistance one day and cardio the next. I enjoy the treadmill a lot more than weights. I did an outside run last weekend and a bit of cycling. I'd like to try some classes again, but it's so difficult to find the time.
  14. I know this thread is about Pattaya, so sorry for this - the Thermae in Bangkok. I mean the old Thermae and even the new Thermae they way it was last century. Those really were the day. I've had some of the best nights of my life in Bangkok but stopped going in 2005 and since then only had a quick visit in 2015. Everything is so different nowadays.
  15. It's 6.30 am in Wales. I'm off the the gym in half an hour to do 30 minutes on the treadmill before going to work. Lots of people say they find treadmills very boring. I love the fact that I can keep up a pace of 10 kph for 30 minutes at 55 years old and enjoy an opportunity to listen to music at the same time. I feel great when I've finished and well set up for the day ahead in work.
